Manu not worth a 3rd round pick!

Brad made a mistake fell in love with size.

Manu looks like a D3 player with size. Zero foot work.

Got beat on every snap, against 3rd and 4th team players.

Need to fake an injury and put him on IR start over again next year with him. Just horrible waste of a pick.

Free Agency was also a failure, right?

He’s a project. The sad part about it is that the Lions probably could’ve have gotten him in the 6th Rd.

He is a project but many teams were looking into him.

Just like BroMart last year.

Many reporters said bromart looked horrible in the preseason and camp. Hence why they were signing 30+ year old vets to fill in when buggs and jones were failing rather than putting bromart in.

Same for manu. Its a redshirt year. He’ll develop all year. Even if, God forbid, Sewell or Decker go down, Manu will still be a healthy scratch. Hell stay on the bench until hes ready likely next year

I laughed way harder than I should have on this. Good to know the sky is falling again.

He was a wasted pick. He can’t play in the NFL point blank he can’t even play against 3rd team players. Beat every play. See you in the CFL Manu

You watch the CFL?

If he has a decent week next week will you here to backtrack like you did on your FA opening day overreaction thread? Because you worked yourself up, overreacted, nearly had multiple heart-attacks and then backtracked like a train moving full speed in reverse.

He won’t look decent next week. He has zero foot work. Got beat every single play against 3rd and 4th team players. You can’t leave him on the 53

Nice opinion. Didn’t answer my question.

Terrible hand placement as well. Not sure why he was playing left tackle  Lions need him at guard if he’s going to play this season

Wanna bet?

I thought consensus was that '24 would be a redshirt year for him.

That’s assuming the oline is injured free which I doubt. All the backups are scrubs

You are one of the top draftniks in here. Honest question for you, if you were Brad-

K Fuller for 2 @ 7.5M
D Armstrong for 3 @ 11M
Dane Jackson for 2 @ 8.5M

  • 3rd back like J Baker, T Franklin, Dev Walker

Instead of Davis, Davenport and Moseley at roughly 23-24M AAV all for 1 year, and minus a 3rd

Manu may eventually pan out, but we did this last year with Moseley, Bro Matt, Hooker, Romeo, Big V, and C Harris all on the roster. We knew we either didn’t want them playing or had no reason to expect health.

This is the much abbreviated version of 100 of my posts. You can be my speech writer moving forward. Kudos.

Sorsdal, Manu, Mahogany, Gilmore, Green, Williams, Zylstra, Skipper, Hooker, Bro Mart, B Joseph…

Many of those guys will make the 53… and combined we don’t really have one full meaningful season from the lot of them.

So many guys we can’t cut, but can’t play?

Tends to be that way. There are only so many legitimate NFL OL to go around.

I agree, and also happen to think Sorsdal is doing a better job than he is being credit for.

I wasn’t hoping we’d pick Manu. Barely knew who he was. And yes it is a moon shot. This is a hirewire act of sorts. But if he hits, oh my!

I would have loved to get Fuller for what Miami did but he may have wanted to live and work down there.

Your approach seems logical. That being said, Brad’s done well enough that I can live with him throwing up some heat checks from time to time.

Technically this year doesn’t count

We haven’t drafted him yet

We draft him next year 2025 3rd round.

This year we basically cheat death and get to have him redshirt for us

Maybe even play a little Special Teams or Jumbo blocking

Bro Mart looked good…what a year transition does for a man with that size , athleticism, work ethic.

Check back next year on 2025 when we draft Manu in the 3rd see how he’s doing then.

Or better yet 2026, 2027 because we have Decker and we have the luxury to develop a LT behind our stud LT Decker
