Matt Eberflus: "I liked what we did there. I think we handled it the right way."

That’s what I mean.
Whatever they were planning, it unraveled on that play. It was a sack in a situation where a sack is not an option. So, when it happened, burn the timeout you were planning to use for the kicking team. (I understand wanting to keep the middle of the field as an option, but you gotta burn it there.)

Nah, he still is ass. Saying “if he develops the mental side of his game” is the same as trying to teach an erratic thrower accuracy, or a weak armed guy to be a strong armed guy. Caleb’s a mental midget and always has been one. He will continue making bone headed mistakes, missing wide open receivers, and taking huge sacks because he wants to “improvise”.

His own teammates don’t like him. That’s all you need to know. Can’t win in the NFL if your own team hates you.

Oh I agree. But I was watching with my dad and he asked me, “hey isn’t that your best pass rusher?” I nodded yes. “Why did they block him?” I shrugged I don’t know.

I go non-verbal during crunch time. Like a high leverage autist or something.

As a Lions fan my council would be for them to keep Eberflus and continue losing to get better draft position.

Well at least keep him until we play again

Yeah but he almost beat the Lions and the Vikes with a rookie QB.

I think that deserves a contract extension.

6 years minimum. With a can’t fire clause. First one in NFL history. I am on board.

There’s plenty of blame to go around but Eberflus should be dismissed tomorrow. I think the QB needs to be more aware of the situation, but at some point Eberflus needs to realize he ain’t getting it and call timeout. To not even get a shot at a long tying field goal is inexcusable.

Watching it, I thought that maybe the the line was on the wrong snap count. Replaying it, the RT was playing the 4i defender instead of the 7. Completely blown play by him. He had no TE to pick up the edge rusher.

The Guard was responsible for Reader, RT was for Smith. RT blew it.

Gotta be honest, I liked what they did there as well.

Romo said the play called was a QB draw and they left the outside rushers unblocked intentionally. Did Caleb try to improvise and not run the draw that was called? Does Eberflus take all the heat instead of throwing his QB under the bus?

It wouldn’t surprise me if you are spot on.

Elf and Mike mcarthy are cloned

Honestly, the bears need to do more than steal Ben

They should scoop Chris to be the GM

They would be a powerhouse in a couple years

Thank god they’re too tarded to do that

If that was the plan, then he needed to be standing next to the ref. If the ball is not snapped with 8-9 seconds left, just call TO and kick the FG.

8 seconds in the minimum safe time needed to run a pass play and call TO.

Yes not easy to think like that on the spot, but you’re getting paid millions to handle these situations.

Ya but most teams are a few plays from being 7-4 in the NFL these days for most part. You are what your record is.

They need to wrap this guy up with a 10-year contract extension.

At this point I think they have to fire him. Even with being this close against playoff teams. This is just one of those losses so bad that you lose the players. I don’t watch any Chicago games but just with clips I have seen it felt like the players were already close to giving up on their coach.

The amount of stuff being said about this outcome is nuts. We had 5 Lions fans watching this game and we’re just in awe for 30 seconds. All of our brains were factory reset.

Agreed for sure… The Bears remind me of the Lions 15 years ago. Tons of talent.no idea how to win.

How can a team with a defese like that, plus 9 in turnovers, i think #4 in red zone, be 4-8? 6 straight losses. I’m pretty sure they should keep that coaching staff together a couple more years.

This fan disagrees.
