McCafferty SF RB and team

This team is now 2-0 with thier newly acquired RB….

  • wondering if we missed on this one

And

  • these guys are getting healthy and I think will keep the final WC short of a melt down. Between them and the Washington team starting to win…. I’m thinking even if we get 9 wins somehow that will will still miss the mark for a WC spot

We need a RB.
I’m so torn on playoffs right now.
Part of me still wants the higher draft picks.

Miss as in we didn’t trade for him!? Not many backs getting injured more often than Swift, but C-Mac does. He cost too many beans and has a big contract.

The 49ers are a dangerous team though, good defense, good Running game. Gotta keep Jimmy G and C-Mac on the field though.

Hey, we’re 2-0 since he was traded, so it’s worked out pretty well for us, too.

I wanted McCaffery when he came out. And no not that way. Anyways, I was hoping the Lions would jump in on that trade. I am sure he will do well in SF.

Trading a 2nd, 3rd, 4th, and 5th next year for an injury prone RB to sign on a massive contract was not the right play for this team.

Here’s how much we missed by…

They’re 2-1 since trading for him and I’ll pass on giving up that much for CM since were way out of the playoff picture.

His lady would have gotten boned out by Jack Fox. That would have been bad mojo in the locker room.

Holy crap… I missed that transaction. This one dude is worth 4 players worth of draft picks and several more in salary? Yikes. No thank you at that cost

It’s like a a sweet supercar. Would I want one? Sure! Am I willing to pay the bones for it? No.

Especially when it’s a super car that’s in the shop half the time.

Agree now, which is why I wanted feedback.

Didn’t realize they gave that much up for him…… sometimes the idea of winning now means just that…., now without any. Regard to the future

Their team was 3 points from overtime and going to the SB last year. Had they sat Trey and played Jimmy they would be leading in the west, but McCaff is exactly what THEY need to either win the west or make the playoffs. It doesn’t have to make sense for anyone but them. I said early on that they needed to retain JimmyG and fortunately for them they worked out a deal to retain him for less than the $25 million they were on the hook for.

If you think a move can get you over the hump, well, it’s always a dice roll. Denver is WAY more in than SF, and they already have begun to dismantle. SF is not screwed here either by the draft OR the salary, this is doable. They can recoup/regroup in one off season. How much does it cost to cut Christian? Any takers?

Trading for mccaffrey also won’t fix our defense. All it would do is set us back without those draft picks.

Imagine how good that 49ers team would have been if they’d have been able to trade for Stafford last year.

I don’t think it would have changed who they were but it certainly would have changed who the Rams were. JimmyG has an uncanny knack of simply winning and his team mates like him.He beat Matt 2 out of 3 last year.

Difficult to say. Stafford could unlock more of shanahans playbook. We’ll never know.

San Fran went all in!! Will it work? Who knows… but they can take the draft off next year. they also traded several 1st rounders to draft Lance. Everyone makes fun of the rams by saying F those picks.

But the 49ers are challenging them for the rights to say that. Those Cali teams don’t give 2 shits about the future…and in some ways I’m jealous.
