I agree

Lots of time to turn it around though.

For the consensus #2 FA at the position too… Maybe Mays will come in around 10? Lindenbuam doesn’t get 20, no way

I tend to agree… It’s what they did last season and it didn’t work out well… I can’t believe they’d repeat the mistake, and they’re worse off vet wise this season

We need to top everyone, overpay if need be. Dont throw away another season with this loaded team because you’re cheap when it comes to protecting the most expensive statue in the sport.

Haha I’m starting to go south I can feel it!

I worry that the same happens with Mays very soon.

I don’t think so… They overpaid their guards, I don’t think they want a $150 million iOL

Hope that you’re right. You’ve always had better instincts than I in terms of market. That McGovern deal close to what we expect for Mays?

I think Mays gets 8-10 million per… The guy he replaced is a FA too, Corbett… He could be a cheaper GG replacement G/C, he’s from Detroit too

Im calm just giving people the heads up

If we go into next season saying “it’s not awful” about our OL then Goff better take out some life insurance. And I think a Gibbs extension could look weird if we force him to play with an average OL. We saw him late last season with mediocre line play and it was like watching a Ferrari try and drive with a boot on its wheel.

It feels like we either overpay for free agent OL talent or we count on high draft picks - I don’t love either option. But I know we’ve been spoiled here with OL play recently and a lot of teams are in this same situation :man_shrugging:

Let’s just see where the chips fall at LT and Center before we panic. We’re not going to see a ‘22-‘24 OL for a while but I do think there are scenarios in which we can improve up 2025. There are also scenarios in which we slide back further as well.

They’re still worried about Bryce being a bust. No way they let the o-line get worse in Carolina.

Is that a prediction that they’ll re-sign Mays?

They probably will. I don’t imagine he’ll cost that much to re-sign.

Everything you read out of there currently says they’re letting him test the market.

Yep, they’re hoping he comes back and offers them the chance to match
