Bills re-signed G/C Connor McGovern to a four-year, $52 million contract.
McGovern has been a mainstay on the interior offensive line for the Bills for the previous three seasons, with the new contract tying him to the franchise through the 2029 season. Long hailed as one of the top pass blocking centers in the league, McGovern will continue to provide protection for 2024âs MVP in Josh Allen
I hate to say it but thatâs an absolutely awful oline and if thatâs the plan just fire Holmes and Dan now. Getting the oline to be an top 10 unit again should be priority number 1 and everything else should wait.
Average is generous. A group full of average lineman is one of the worst in the league.
I donât think our line has any chance of being really good next year (unless we go nuts like the bears did last year), but at LEAST one significant upgrade needs to be brought in predraft.
Yep. Honestly I think even our best lines back in 23 and 24 were 2 studs, 1 above average guy, and 2 average players made to look better by the studs around them.
Tate had a decent rookie year. Hoping for a big jump. One thing I noticed was he was clearly battling injuries a lot last year. Managed to gut it out but the dude was clearly in pain. Left at least 3 games, going to the tent and then coming back out.
If we go into the '26 season with new starters at four OL positions - the exception being Mahogs, who was average at best - my belief in Brad is gonna be shaken.
Get Mays, keep Tate at RG, grab yer favorite available tackle in rds 1 or 2, get backup help where you can.
Bears just did it, put together one of the best lines in the league. And with an uninspiring signing like Jonah and uninspiring draft pick like Trapilo.
