Has us going Legette. I think he’s a real option for us in the 1st. Checks all of our boxes.
We had 5 qb’s in the den mock first 13 picks too.
I keep picking Legette in the 2nd but im not convinced he lasts that long. Might have to rake him at 29 if we want him.
It’s lining up that way it seems. Unless Brad trades up for one of the offensive tackles, another stud WR makes a ton of sense. Legette reminds me of Terrel Owens.
If we can’t land a tackle in the first, it seems prudent to wait until day 2 or early day 3 to take an interior olinemen.
If things played out like this I’d prefer taking the Oregon G/C Jackson Powers-Johnson given Ragnow’s injury history. Comps have him as a Ragnow clone…
The Detroit Mock den vote for who to pick will be interesting.
Almost need to have a few different votes, taking the top two or three from the original vote
You guys still don’t believe that I AM KIPER
I still read all your posts in his voice…
He’s not a Ragnow clone. He’s not nearly as big or athletic and his arms are outlier short. He will have the shortest arms of any center outside of Tyler Linderbaum (based on Senior Bowl measurements), despite being 30 pounds heavier and not nearly as athletic. Zierlein comps him to Quinn Meinerz and I think that’s much closer both physically and from a play style perspective than Ragnow.
JPJ is great in a phone booth but personally I wouldn’t take him in the 1st. Barton is the only one I’d take, and I’d take Frazier over JPJ in the 2nd as well. Just my opinion of course and I could be wrong.

Same!
Legette is a one year wonder.
There’s legit reasons for that if you go through his story
According to Matt Miller, ESPN analyst…
34. Jackson Powers-Johnson, C, Oregon
Height: 6-3 | Weight: 320
Comp: Frank Ragnow
He is. Ultimately I think we try and pay back to the late 30s and hope one of he and a few others are still there.

The same ESPN analysts who trashed our draft last year?
As for the mock, I would rather have AD Mitchell there.
Someone more knowledgable than me should have a post of who we think Brad actually has as a first round graded pick. He is picky, and last years 16 proves it. I bet in aggregate we could whittle it down.

Well that is something. I stand corrected then, but I have no idea why anyone would compare him to Ragnow. One is stumpy, the other is long and lean. One is an athlete, the other’s a wrestler. They couldn’t be more different imo.
I do think Miller is one of the worst analysts out there, though.

He won’t be on our board imo. Takes too many plays off.
I’m leaning exactly this way myself.
Right now I feel like Chop, Barton, Leggett, and Kool Aid are my favorite options.
