Merits of Drafting Will Levis

Wtf dude this was for this.

Dude I can’t even comprehend your posts. No idea what you are trying to say in either of your last two you tagged me in.

Ok the first one you talk about laughing at everyone for thinking something, then turn around and say " I literally express my opinion. And I do not believe my opinion to be fact. I never say this is how it is, period."

The 2nd had nothing to do with you as I tried to point out. Not sure why you tagged me on that one.

It’s really because he puts mayo in his coffee. Can you trust a man who puts mayo in his coffee?

In all seriousness. Sure. He could be the pick… @Thats2 and I were actually laughing about that scenario…watch the lions take him and we al be like ā€œwait what!!!ā€.

This still makes no sense to me. Did I say we are taking Levis at 6…as in it’s a fact? I said I THINK we go Levis if such and such scenario plays out. AGAIN, I could very well be wrong…I am often.

And, I would laugh at those who believe it’s 100% certain we pass. There’s several that completely believe it’s off the table.

I don’t understand what you aren’t getting at here. I’m not even trying to be a dick, I’m just saying I genuinely don’t get it.

This is what I think may happen, not Willis exactly, but I believe the staff will do something that makes people say that. There a couple more surprises coming. I for one still have absolutely no I deal what these guys are thinking. There a few here who believe they know exactly what Holmes is thinking. I’m not one.

My only hope is we get Carter guys like him are wanting to be paid hudge money. He is the final piece to the defense.

Just forget it no big deal. If you don’t understand how that pertains to what you said.

Your opinion isn’t fact ? but your laughing at there’s. Witch indicates your opinion is good and there is laughable. Kinda apples to apples. One thing you said kinda counterdicts the other. That’s all

Nah not really. I don’t know if we take Levis. Some here KNOW for a fact we don’t take Levis. So if we did, I would laugh. Because he’s basically not even on our board.

It’s all good. Sometimes it is hard to get our points across on a message board.

I think this comes down to this question:

Would you rather draft someone who makes you the best possible team in 2023, or would you rather draft someone who gives you maximum potential going forward?

For me its the second. We’re going to win our division and host a playoff game with or without Levis next year. What I’m excited about are the possibilities it creates from 2024 - 2030. I’d draft him at 6 if he’s there. We won’t get an opportunity to be this far up in the draft for awhile.

This is true bro.

Hell I’m no better I’m laughing at the guys that really believe they know what we’re gonna do because I believe no one does. I sure don’t I can’t swear they will take Carter if he’s there and couldn’t swear they won’t take a QB . I don’t know if they will consider Bijan or a WRs. I really don’t have a clue and these guys have not tipped there hand at all.

I’m praying for Carter or Anderson. If both players are gone, I just don’t see anyone worth the 6th pick. So that’s why I think it makes sense to go best QB available IF they like him. For me and how I see things, that’s what it adds up to for me :man_shrugging:t2:

I don’t even particularly like Levis, so it’s certainly not what I want to happen.

Carter
Anderson
Trade down
Trade up
…
Levis

That’s in order what I would like to see happen.

Here is a nice synopsis. One thing I think I tended to grade too harshly was his 2022 tape. IMO if you are simply looking at his 2022 tape, you won’t like him. But as this guy notes, there wasn’t a lot he could do last year. Not a lot of open WRs; not a lot of time to throw.

This is extremely premature thinking.

For me, its:

Trade down
QB, if they like what’s there at 6
OL, if they don’t like QB
WR, if they don’t like QB or OL
CB, if they don’t like QB, OL, or WR.
Anderson
Carter (too turd-like)
Trade up for a QB they really want

OK, yeah. But we are the betting favorite right now.

Yeah I expect just about anything can happen at 6 , and I agree I just don’t like this draft people have talked holes in every player you might can pick. Bad time to have the 6th pic.

I’m a Gator, and I watch a ton of SEC football. I’m hoping we steer clear of both AR and WL with picks 6+18.

AR - started out well, then regressed during the season. Big red flag. At times, had trouble reading defenses. Has had some hammy problems, and gimpy on numerous plays. Will take 2-3 years just to be able to analyze.

WL - terrible '22 season, injured, another big concern. Didnt show out in big spots.

Now if Stroud or Young slip, very tempting. But that is extremely unlikely. I do worry about young size and durability in NFL.

Or just wait to rd 4 or 5, take a gamble, u never know.

What’s the odds he makes it to 18? The money works out better in terms of his role sitting the bench as QB insurance. I’d be more interested if this were the case.

Unless something unforeseen happens and Anderson falls to 6 or maybe if they draft Carter. I don’t see who ever we draft at 6 being an instant starter.

I am on record as really disliking Levis as a prospect.

But I also really disliked Josh Allen and Justin Herbert, so I’m well aware I could be wrong about Levis, just like I was wrong about those guys.

And I can’t deny Levis has all the intangible qualities our FO is gonna love. He’s breathes football. He’s gregarious, a good leader. He’s tough af. Everything you want your QB to be, he is.

Plus he’s got plenty of intriguing tangible qualities too.

So for those reasons I think he’s definitely on the board. I hope we don’t take him for the same reasons I don’t like him as a prospect, but I certainly can’t rule it out.
