This is an odd post. It’s been a month. The colts had no way of forecasting an injury to Sauce, and the Eagles, last I checked, are leading their division.
The Lions are 3-3 since the trade deadline, and although the win over Dallas gave us some hope, shouldn’t we … you know … see how the season plays out?
Not sure why you seem so intent on arguing, but I don’t see the irony because the entire point of the trade deadline is to improve your roster for the stretch run. As I said, we are 3-3 since the trade deadline. I’m hopeful. I’d be more hopeful with help opposite Hutch. No idea what you’re on about.
The moves Dallas made clearly made them better lol. The Lions didn’t need Williams or the LB they acquired but I’m not too sure why you would think the moves Dallas made were bad?
Doesn’t matter who the lions traded for. We want the end opposite Hutchinson to be a 315 pound DT…..maybe we finally figured out that Mohammad is the guy to play?
I’ve been defending Brad on this the whole time. We don’t know who was available, and what the cost was for anyone. I would not trade two first rounds picks for Micah. I would not trade two first round picks for Sauce. I would not trade a 1st round pick + 3rd for QW although that is the one that was very tempting for me. Not only do you lose 1st round + picks but now you have to pay these guys 100mil. This is a team who builds thourgh the draft. And this is a team who built a championship caliber team from the ground up in 3 seasons.
What if they get hurt? Sauce is hurt. Now their QB might be out. I don’t think the Packers are a championship team. Cowboys aren’t.
And you all act like he doesn’t siign FA’s or majkde trades. He does. CDIII for a 3rd round pick was a great trade. Zeitler was a great signing and so was Reader.
I do admit I want Brad to push the envelope a little next off-season. No developmental players. Focus on depth with those late rounds. Hope for a gem even someone like Malcolm Rodriguez. And if you’re going to trade picks for a vet do another CDIII type trade.
But overall keep doing what you’re doing. I like that Dan said they’re not listening to the outside noise.
Now, they could play better. And a do a better job calling plays. And #1 if this team was healthy we’d be singing a diffferent song. Losing Kerby HURT.
Mid season trades had nothing to do with us going 3-3 but coaching sure did. I liked Frazier better than Rat but since Rat has hit the ground running I would be surprised if Frazier ended up the better of the two. Actually the funny thing is that what could have been our best add wouldn’t have taken a trade. CJGJ. For those of you who believe, with hindsight BTW, that a trade could have had a major impact then who and why.
Anyone who actually learns, knows and cares about football knows that sacks comes in bunches. The only players that have been the exception are Miles Garrett, Lawrence Taylor and Jared Allen. Those guys were consistent year in, year out. Also, game in and game out.
