My deal is you and certain other posters literally flood the damn board with who Brad didn’t trade for and why it was a poor decision, yall damn near shouted down anyone who didn’t agree.

But when hindsight shows that maybe those guys weren’t worth trading for then it’s crickets.

I was being somewhat lighthearted about it but apparently that wasn’t obvious.

Regardless, as I said to wrath, I personally think it’s too soon to judge trade deadline results. It’s just like judging draft picks of rookies in week 8. It’s not the entire story, just a few pages.

No, we didn’t “flood the board.” Jesus Christ. You’re so bent out of shape that someone dared question Brad, because you owe him some weird allegiance. Yes, we’re fans, it was the trade deadline, we hoped the team would acquire players to help them. It was something to talk about on an internet message board. And we were frustrated when that didn’t happen because the team was losing. And then … we moved on. You should do the same.

BECAUSE IT WAS WEEKS AGO!!! Christ almighty, can you imagine this forum if every single user revisited any take that they ever had, particularly around the draft. Get over yourself.

The funny thing is I keep thinking, “Damn, I wish we had more picks bc the off-season needs are adding up and we’re cap contained.” And yet many on here wanted to blow through even more draft capital.

Related, for me. I was frustrated because I thought our lack of capital meant we couldn’t do anything because of the TesLaa trade.

Every year we get a draft overreaction thread a few weeks in. I view tradeline thing as similar.

If J Phillips has 6 sacks in playoffs and eagles win it all it would all become worth it. Just unfair to judge it just yet

I’m all fine with disagreements. No issue there.

I start to get annoyed when people can’t contribute at all. They just take shots and post negative shit over and over. Then lions win and they run and hide till we lose again.

This forum would be way to boring if we all agreed all of the time.

I’ve learned a lot about football from this board over 17 years and some of those disagreements.

Edit to check my math. I just turned 37. I think I was first online my senior year. So closer to 19 years I believe. Who knows. It’s been a blast

I will say something and I hope you can agree with this, one of the biggest reasons lions lost to Philly was because of Philips. He may put pressure on goff on big situations plays and no im not talking Hutchinson you moved a qb out of the pocket, he forced goff to throw it away .

No argument. He had a good game.

Another thing was our coach made some decisions I think were wrong. I assume he wants some of them back now too. Defense was balling and Dans aggressiveness and our lack of execution hurt us.

I also wanted someone at deadline. I’m just pickier about what I’m willing to give up for someone who is a FA at end of year.

At least Dan is now taken more points then attempting 4th downs all the time

I thought he was fantastic against cowboys. Players also played much better on offense which helps.

Should, but doesn’t. People go off the hook one way or the other, before seeing how it plays out. Goes for both sides, almost always.

I, for one, have never had a bad draft take. Definitely no one look up my responses to Brad’s best draft because I loved them all. :grimacing:
