Man PFN is still loooow on Proctor, aren’t they? At least compared to the other ones.
Jude Bowry is an interesting prospect to me.
Yes he is
This is no trades. I would much rather move around to get my guys and swindle some picks for next year. If I do that it can take me over 2 hours to do a mock.
I prefer to trade down as often as possible, but I only post the trade-ups or no-trades in here since those are more realistic.
I’ve never seen a draft where Brad isn’t moving around the board
It’s made the draft so exciting recently because you never know when he’s going to move up
That is where I bury my face in a pillow because I’m afraid to see what he gave up.
At least we have one example of a great deal with the trade up for Jamo.
I was good with the move for Jamo because I liked him and we did get a pick back. We also had the picks for a move like that. I really hated the BroMart trade because there were a ton of guys I wanted with the picks we gave up. In general as a draft fan I just love more picks.
You and me both. And frankly, we’re pretty much the same on the trade-ups… when it’s for guys we like we’re generally fine with it (and Jamo was my #5 guy that draft, so I loved it). I was also fine with Terrion even though I thought it was a touch rich. I was higher than consensus on Bromart as well, but I wasn’t THAT high, so I didn’t really like giving up that much for him either. And I hated the TeSlaa trade too but feel much better about it today.
Ok this was a 2 hour draft with 9 trades but no future picks involved. Just moving up and down to get the players I wanted.
I’d be pretty damn happy with that. I’m still worried about Neal’s bizarre profile, but he looked pretty good over the last part of the season, no doubt.
I first became aware of Neal at the senior bowl practices. He really caught my eye in the one on one drills. I never saw any tape other than what he did this year. I liked everything I saw in the few games I watched from Arkansas. After watching him in the field drills at the combine I was sold. He is long, physical, well rehearsed in press man coverage, and good in run support. His arms are 32.75 and he has a 40” vert. I think we need a couple of these guys to actually make our defense work the way they scheme it.
I agree we need a long press guy. This class has a few options and he’s certainly one. Just so strange that he was basically a backup at Fresno State for four years. One of those where I wish we had the ability to get more details. But in the end it’s the tape that matters most
I’m kind of feeling like Parker, Jacas, Miller, Fano, Rodriguez and Hill are the group that we somehow need to get 2 of….
Lets do an experiment. Lets all post a mock where we don’t worry about positional value whatsoever and just pick your favorite player for the Lions at the pick. Like BPA according to your board for the Lions.
When I bump up the setting on the hero mock to 40 for draft by need it seems more realistic. It tells me what I already knew that all the good CBs will be gone before we pick in the 4th round. If we take some combo of OT and DE with the first 2 picks how do we get a CB?
Only round 1?
