Montgomery vs Swift

Trying to figure out my keepers. I’m keeping Kyren Williams but by the time I get a draft pick (rd 5), all decent RB’s will be gone. I have ARSB as a WR. Don’t really like to overload player with the same bye week, but I think I can absorb a loss at wk 5 and won’t be hurt too bad.

Swift’s injury history scares me. If he stays healthy, he will be used a ton. On the other hand, Gibbs is gonna get the lion’s share of touches but Montgomery will get the goal line work.

Dmont gets more than enough touches to be very useful in fantasy, and there is no way I would trust Swift enough to have him on my fantasy team.

This is a no brainer for me.

Monty all the way for me. If Swift can’t thrive behind our or Philly’s OL - the two best in the game - I don’t know why anyone expects him to be any better in Chicago.

Swift will likely catch more passes. Monty more rushing yards and TD’s for sure.

I agree BUT I have ARSB and Goff. I can’t sit half the team.

On D I have Hutch and Branch

How did Swift not thrive? He averaged 4.6 y/c last year in Philly and 5.5 his last year in Detroit… His only issue has been staying healthy and he did that last season for the most part.

Because he has all the same issues Staley called him out for on Hard Knocks. He’s not tough. His vision’s below average, he bounces it outside too much. He doesn’t block. He’s a talented guy, but there’s a reason two teams have moved on in two years. And it’s not gonna get better.

I dont care about stats and fantasy. Do i play it? Sure…for fun…

I wouldn’t draft Marshallow Swift.

To me he is a pretty boy with zero heart.

Watch the film …

Also, I wanted Ti hockenson gone…becauss he wouldn’t block. Look at the film of Hockenson blocking as a Lions…

Yet…Hockenson was gifted a mega-million contract…

Ok…

So glad we dumped Hockensoft.

Rookie QB with a suspect O-line I would go with Monty.

Hands down Dmon…he will still be a reliable 1k back w 5-10 tds…swift is just not dependable and is thr ultimate boom or bust start…dmon is consistent.

That’s what my head and heart are saying.Sacrificing one week for the team might be worth it.

I’d go with the guy who has Penei Sewell run blocking for him. That seems to send about every RB we’ve seens stats up about a yard per carry.

Very good point. Monty had a career average of 3.9 yards per carry over 4 seasons. 1 year with the Lions 4.6. The oline is vital to RB success.

Swift isn’t a bad pick either. I think that Bears offense has a lot of talent. Although I don’t have high expectations for the rookie QB. Seems like their o-line is pretty good. Don’t know who else they have at RB and what Swifts percentage of carries would be. But Montgomery is the better pick here. I think he gets 50 percent of the carries. Jahmyr is a small guy and they can’t overwork him or run him into the pile too often.

Monty is the ultimate handcuff. Keep gibbs and have monty and reap the rewards.

Don’t have Gibbs. It’s a keeper league.

Sorry ive been drinking and i didnt really read your post fully . Any chance you can get gifnny in the first? If not even an early monty pick is smart as a handcuff.

I dont mind having lot of guys on the same bye week as i just count it as a loss for the week and should be goodfor the rest of the season.
