He had better stay ready cuz I don’t think Murray is going to make it through a full season. What this really means is the Vikings played way out over their skis last year and I expect them to have a pretty poor year and to be honest the Packers not too far from them either

In fairness, he lost to Murray the moment they brought him in. You could certainly argue that he’s trash because they felt the need to bring Murray in, though.
And on the flip side, while I’m no huge fan of Murray, I do think he’s the most talented QB KOC has ever worked with. That’s more an indictment on the talent they’ve brought in than anything else, but it’s worth noting.
I live in Lansing (I’m not an MSU football fan) and I never could understand the JJ hype.

McCarthy went 14/25 for 143 yards, 2 TD’s and 1 pick. It’s not like JJ set the world on fire. Remember, the whole NINE meme started because JJ talked and acted like he had done something amazing, and it was just a mediocre game.
The second game wasn’t even McCarthy, it was Brosmer. Right after going right back to the shitter, McCarthy had another “injury” which was another excuse to keep him off of the field because he looked terrible.
The Vikings rushed for 142 yards the first game. That’s why the Lions lost. JJ had 12, one was a TD run, so he didn’t kill us with his legs.
Want to see the real reason the Lions lost @CMafia ? Remember how you mentioned the center doesn’t matter much? Let’s look at the Lions rushing totals that game. Monty, 11 carries for 40 yards. Gibbs? 9 carries for 25 yards. This was the game that pushed Campbell over the edge and cost Morton his job. Why couldn’t the Lions run the ball? A gap pressure, which Flores sent early and often.
I know, it was the playcaller! How about game 2, with Max Brosmer at QB and Campbell calling plays? Gibbs, 17 carries for 41 yards. Monty, 10 carries for 25 yards. Again, the Lions were held to 60 yards rushing. Why? Brian Flores, with A gap pressure.
I don’t care who your skill guys are. If you can’t block, you can’t play. Want to keep skill guys off the field? Overwhelm the OL and never let them get going. The Lions with Ragnow were 4-0 against the Vikings in 2023-2024. The last time the Vikings had beaten the Lions was early 2022. The Lions with no Ragnow, could barely manage to get a first down. Same players, and with Campbell calling plays for round 2.
I actually like Kyler’s talent level quite a bit. I just think he’s a terrible leader and I don’t even think he likes football. He’d rather play baseball but he couldn’t hit spin proficiently enough to be certain that he’d be able to make high end money.
