In his Summer League debut, Okorie notched 20 points on 8-of-14 shooting with two made triples. He scored nine points in the third quarter alone.
âThe main goal is to always try to win. Thatâs what we tried to do, but came up short,â Okorie said. âThere are little things that we can work on, like coming out stronger and being more prepared to play. We are going to work on that and be better next game.â
Okorie noted that getting back into the rhythm of five-on-five basketball contributed to his recovery from a mediocre first half, during which he scored seven points on 2-of-4 shooting. Two minutes into the second half, Okorie showcased all the attributes that gave the Pistons confidence to trade up to the No. 17 pick in the 2026 NBA Draft to select their âguy.â
here were times throughout the game when Okorie also displayed his ability as a reliable playmaker and facilitator, adding four assists. His 13-point performance in the second half played a vital role in helping the Pistons rally from a once-13-point deficit.
âThroughout the draft process, I mostly played three-on-three or one-on-one,â Okorie said. âSo, being able to go out there and play five-on-five and competing against other great players was fun.â

I didnât watch the game but I heard our #46 was the worst basketball player people have ever seen.
Nothing to see here. Just an absurdly large endorsement deal from a pipsqueak online âbankâ that had money pumped into it by Leonardâs employer. Why yes the original founder of the company is currently in prison, what made you guess that?

Basically the owner of the Clippers invested $60,000,000 in this company that then gave Leonard a $28,000,000 endorsement deal.

Yeah they have to run an investigation so that they are in a sound position to punish the Clippers for very obviously using Aspiration to circumvent the salary cap. Iâm kind of surprised Toronto hasnât already pulled out of the deal since they will have to assume some of the penalties like itâs part of Leonardâs contract.

âThough Ballmer [Clippers owner] has said he introduced Leonard to Aspiration, he told ESPNâs Ramona Shelburne in September that he had no knowledge of the playerâs deal and denied he directed the company to strike one.â
Does he seriously expect anyone to believe that?

His billionâs of dollar ego literally expects people to believe this is true. 
And, he will be able to pay an unlimited amount of money to attorneys to complicate things to the point that it will be difficult for the NBA to do much. But the NBA has to do something. Ridiculous.

6ers killed them on offensive glass. G league roster, Roddie Gayle looked ok in limited time, Okurie & Jones stood out.
How did the 2nd-round center look? Saw he only took 3 shots, but had 3 steals.
I donât really follow basketball much. Whatâs the consensus on the Pistons moves this offseason? Swinging and missing at adding a star next to Cade but have added the flexibility to swing a trade at the TDL? Cade still appears to be the only guy who can bring the ball up the court (not good). Looks like we lost some defense (eh) but added some shooters and spacers (good). Duren still no contract.
