New PFF top 100

The value in this years draft looks like rounds 2 & 3. Great news that even though might not have a ton of blue chip talent up top, it’s a great year to need a DB or two

I kinda think that’s true most drafts. Once you get out of the top 5-10 elite guys, everyone from 10/15-50 is usually of a really similar tier, and 50-100 as well. It’s better to have more swings in those tiers than a single swing at the top of it.

Yeah you’re probably on to something here. I’m probably over imagining the consistency of drafts typically having those top 5-10 elite guys as well

  1. DT/DE

Pick 18) DB

  • trade down for a team that coverts WR @ 18

That’s the way to go IMO

Baller whose best football is in front of him yet. Similar to a Max Crosby type-gangly giraffe body type who continues to grow into the body year after year

Yeah agree 100%. Made a post about him a week or so ago…

Are we sold on Breese if Carter is gone? Does our roster really need a DE? Im tempted to go back to back DBs if Carter is gone.

Trade down from 6… get branch and gonzalez and add a extra 2nd? Sign me up

Hell no.

Maybe.

I don’t think there is a CB worth #6, although Witherspoon is the hot name today. Interested to see how the combine throws a wrench into everything.

Bresee is this years Okudah

Can always use a DE that’s how you win today in the NFL IMO

I like back to back DB made a thread about it. Witherspoon or Branch and then round 2 grab another.

We have already dumped quite a few resources into DE. I guess if you are not resigning Cominsky and dumping Okwara, you can make a case for a high round DE that has positional versatility. I dont think Murphy or Wilson are generational prospects though so why not draft a position of higher need?

While it’s not ideal if EDGE is by far the best player available, I wouldn’t be averse to it. We’ve got Hutch, Houston and Paschal but the Okwara Bros, Harris and Bryant could all be on their way in the next two years (perhaps as soon as this offseason). Cominsky is more of an inside-outside guy than a true edge (Paschal too somewhat). We definitely need to add another body or two to the mix. I’d prefer to do it with a less valuable pick, but I also wouldn’t bypass talent to reach for need.

I agree

Also, just because we draft someone who’s listed as a DE. Rotating actually makes them better, keeping them fresh. And we can actually have 4-5 on the field at same time.

Houston essentially took over for whatever “SAM” role J.Okwara and C.Harris were designated for.

A guys like Myles Murphy or Tyree Wilson can edge set on run downs and move around on 3rd downs.

We could literally see: Houston, Rookie, Hutch…with Pascal & Cominsky inside all 5 on pass downs.

That’s a nice future!!! That’s a great identity.

Yeah, we might keep Romeo & Julianne around for another year but we’d be sick for the next 4-5 years at least maybe longer.

That’s also how you improve a secondary indirectly too…

If those rankings equated to when players go, give me:

Murphy
Cam Smith
Washington
Gibbs
Stevenson

Levis at #3. Guess me and PFF are both nuts… because I heard he sucks…

I would have no problem with him at 6 I like the idea of Hutch… Commish…McMeil an Wilson

During are winning run we would see Hutch an Commish switch it can work same at other end .You can work Pascal in also either side. If we sign Buggs that gives us another big body on short yardage also. We still have no idea the condition of Levi s also.

I tend to lean towards longer an maybe 20 pounds lighter but quicker DL man Like Wilson who would be 6’6" 275 pounds coming from one edge an Hutch from other With more length an size like Commish an Pascal Check the top D in league they have one big body an then size an speed.
Murphy is another one

By drafting say a Wilson or Murphy you have the cap to keep Comish an add a CB or keep likely are safety Deshon Than paying huge amount for a DT

You move Houston Romeo around as a rush LB a super size Sam LB

I like idea work FA around raft plans we know its very likely we get a big long body to add to DL at 6 an its likely we get the CB we want an need at 18

If we sign a young CB in FA an add one at 18 we have improved are CB group… We keep Deshon an can add if we want depending on Walker to Safety later.

Your looking at RD to fill any hole you want. Maybe they do drop Big V wee can add a quality OG to play ROG an still have Kraemer to start if the rookie needs time. I wouldn’t mind a depth OT also

Spend FA money on what you know if you can example Chark we know he wants to come back an staff knows what they have for sure. I say resign 3 year deal unless just over priced. that sets your O up an you just improve depth cost is a #2 WR

I hoe they add 3 top tier rookies in draft an then improved possible depth.

I’m sure most know this…… but I offer a refresher.

In 2006…. the Giants had Strahan, Osi, and Tuck.

They spent a 1st round pick on Kiwanuka.

In 2007… those 4 combined for 36.5 sacks….
and the “Nascar” package shocked the world when they beat an undefeated Patriots team.

There have been several teams since that game that won Super Bowls with a superior pass rush (Seahawks, Broncos, Bucs, … even the Rams).

IMO… It is difficult to invest too much on the pass rush.

Renner has always loved Levis. Most of the other PFF guys are more skeptical but Renner’s the lead draft guy over there so :man_shrugging:

You might be nuts, sometimes I see Josh Allen in his game. So I guess that might make me crazy?
