This is why I can’t have nice things

Didn’t we visit with him?

We did yeah. Maybe to ask him “why can’t you tackle?”

This is wild af:

■■■■■■■ speed demons this CB class

Really cant ignore it i think, day 2 pick, one must be

What is the usual difference with vs. without pads?

Yeah, good question. Certainly there’s some different, but I don’t know to what level.

Maybe that helps him fall for us.

I think it should keep him pretty comfortably in that 3/4th round range, though his pro day/interviews could change that.

And I think that would be great, I would love him there. I think he is a good fit and has some ball skills we could use on the outside

What’s the gig with Hairston haven’t really liked him much but mostly because I read he’s a zone CB and avg tackler. But boy them kinda wheels you can be alot things. What your opinion on him and his fit here ? And anyone else that knows him

I really like him though he’s not a glove fit here. The tackling is better than it seemed, he hurt his shoulder early in the year and it really affected him. Before that and last year he was a much better tackler, though I don’t know that it will ever be a strength, he’s just too slight (which may keep him off our board altogether). He’s not much of a ballhawk and he can get bullied, those are probably my biggest concerns with him other than the tackling, but you’re right he’s not a glove fit.

Of the surprise blazers Walley (4.40) is probably the best fit as a nickel for us. @CuriousHusker has been on him for a while, though I don’t think he saw that kind of speed.

He followed the hydration strategy that brought draft success to Bryce Young.

Hopefully this pushes him higher and higher and someone else down to us:

Zy Alexander should have faked an injury rather than post those numbers.

Bad day for him. He’s why so many agents don’t let their guys work out.

I’ve have been watching the kid Darien Porter for a Day #3 project.
I was hoping his age and lack of starting reps would allow Holmes to grab him late as a CB/FS project.
Obvious size, speed, length, athlete with tremendous ball skills.
Porter could be an opening day starter at Gunner and develop over time at CB or FS.
Porter would have to develop M2M skills to become an outside CB/ Big Nickel, and improve tackling technique for a safety.
