Woof
Not the best for Fannin, but could have been worse tbh.
Yeah about what we expected
Iām gonna have to go on a deeper dive on Joshua Simon. He looks great in the drills, tested really well too. Turns 25 in November which is why heās fallen through the cracks maybe, but just looks the part out there
Taylor really aced the drills. Simon I did not watch much.
Simon had a shockingly good sled drill for 240. 9.0 RAS so a good athlete, smooth catcher of the ball. Just looks like a guy who should be getting A LOT more love.
But I really havenāt watched much of his tape.
I have to admit when I watched the S Carolina games I would fast fwd when they had the ball. I was watching the defense.
Ha, me too. Pretty bleh offense and interesting D. But thatās another thing that could make a guy fall through the cracks.
Iād buy low on Gunnar. Mid day 2? Sign me up. Decent player.
I think he might go later than that now, especially in this class. 4th?
Luke Lachey been having a good combine
Fannin having a good combine
Certainly the agilities helped his numbers a lot.
Everyone yaks about the players who glitter and ace the combine. Yet Iām kinda happy that the youngens Nic Scourton and Jordan Phillips are yesterdays newspapersā¦for the moment. I know evaluators arenāt influenced as much at the end of their processes. Still, it makes it more likely that we could get them at #28 and 101.
It also helped that Phillips was slipping and sliding on the turf during the couple of field drills that I saw of him. It sure looked like a cleat problem more than anything.
Porter keeps killing it
Wohler had a pretty good day. He doesnāt want to move to LB.
Frazier also did much better than I thought in the agility drills. Book on him was always long and fast but linear.
Now the cons are really just age and the late one year breakout.
I imagine that heās separated himself from the other small school CBs as of now.
