Your opinion of fools trading up for a QB goes against the entire history of the NFL draft. Look what the 49’ers gave away for Lance who doesn’t compare to Richardson. I bet you think the Panthers are fools.
I do not think the Lions trade up for a QB, but I 100% believe they could draft one.
I will bet you ANYTHING Richardson is a top 10 pick.
Maybe but I don’t see it. But with QBs it only takes one team to like them. But Richardson just is all projection kinda like Willis a better prospect forsure but same Questions.

This happens EVERY year. Teams draft a project player especially at QB HIGH, and sometimes trade away the moon for it. Again, like Lance. We are talking about a 6’6, 240lb QB with a cannon arm who runs a 4.4. Teams are drooling over the guy, and what they might be able to turn him into. He has no ceiling.
And how did that turn out ? And I would be willing to bet you Panthers are not taking Richardson at #1 and that the Lions don’t trade up for Richardson. I may be a top 10 pick like I said it only takes one team to love him.

I’m just letting you all know the history of what teams do in the draft. Sometimes it works, and sometimes it doesn’t. I said I don’t think the Lions would trade up for anyone. YOU SAID Richardson would be lucky to be drafted in the 1st round. And he will drop.

Hell I’m not sure what they will do as I’ve said, if they were trading up for a QB I believe it would be someone else. But I really believe that they like Goff they built this offense around him now there going to go will a totally different style. I don’t believe they jump ship because there drooling over a big fast QB that isn’t all that good throwing the football.
When Holmes said QB was on the Table it’s was kinda like what he said about FAs, he said he would be selective yet everyone here turn that into not signing splash type players. But that wasn’t close to what he ment. I don’t think there eager to move on from Goff.

No way. He barely played QB in his life. They traded EVERYTHING for him based on potential alone. Again, that’s the point. Richardson is a freak. Whether he turns out to be good or bad we don’t know, but teams will draft him high becuz of that potential.

Oh, I mostly agree with you. Like I said, I don’t believe they will trade up for a QB or anyone else. I also agree that I would not draft Richardson. I don’t like the project type players. Even if he becomes a monster. I like the surest players. But I most definitely think Richardson will go top 10 because teams do that.
Your reasoning about Goff is 100%. But I am positive they will consider a QB. I personally don’t think Goff is great. And the idea is take advantage of being able to draft a QB this high, and let him sit. It makes sense.
What I do know 100% is that I don’t know what anyone will do,…lol.

Not necessarily. Jimmy G has been solid for the 49’ers, and they love him. He even took them to the SB. It’s usually what you’re saying, but if a team feel their average QB isn’t the guy they will do it. A good example is Stafford for Goff plus two 1sts.

It would not surprise me if Levis is our choice at 6. The only QB I like early is Stroud but I am confident Young and Stroud are gone 1 and 2. If we brought in Stroud I’m sure Goff would see his days here are numbered. If we brought in Levis and showed Goff some of his tape he would not feel threatened at all. I just see our options as Carter, Levis and Witherspoon. I think Anderson and Wilson will be gone to Arizona and Seattle.
