Guess he wasn’t good there either.

I think we got back a later 3.

It was this year’s 3 and both of next year’s 3s for #70, #182 and a 6th next year

Didn’t Hooker say it was refreshing to be in a place where he was wanted? Now what?

He wasn’t even on the roster was he? Just practice squad I think. His career may be over. Hooker to the CFL. Turn a few tricks in 3 down action..

Clearly the answer is for Brad to trade all his 3rd rd picks.

Brad swings for the fence in the 3rd. Unfortunately, he misses more than he hits. Luckily, he bats pretty well in earlier rounds and in the later rounds.

Even with the misses Kerby and Alim were steals in round 3

That was back in the day before the Lions had a well-developed roster. I feel like now that Brad has more talent on the team, he definitely trying to find that freak athlete who becomes a superstar in the 3rd.

Hooker needs to go play in the USFL or something. He needs reps in a non TN offense.

AG will sign him

Really, though. Why did Brad even pick him?! That’s got to be the most confusing pick ever. Don’t say to be back up QB because he was a developmental player. Who drafts a QB in the 3rd to be the future back-up?

Can’t feel bad about his hit rate in day 2 and 3 when he actually picked players that quickly developed into the highest compensated guys at their respective positions (at time of signing). I’m including Sun God as a 5th rounder. He didn’t just pick solid rotational guys, standout special teamers, or the like. The Villian gets all the benefit of the doubt, seeing as how development by any player is a 2 way street…and health is a contributing yet volatile factor to consider in reaching those heights.

He WAS the only backup QB on our roster for almost all of last season.

The staff thought highly enough then to trust him as the backup in the event Goff got hurt the year after we went to the NFCCG.

Of course by the time the playoffs hit we signed (and then played) Bridgewater over him.

At the time we drafted Hooker there were still some questions about Goff and his future here.
