Patriots talked to Falcons about trading up to No. 4 likely to draft Justin Fields

I vote for 5 QB’s going before our pick

Maybe the Lions or Panthers price for moving up was far less than the Falcons.

Or at least equal to. I suspect the demand for next years FRP. And if you’re going to pay that then might as well go up to #4.

Issue becomes SF and if you believe they take Jones or Lance, or if NE would be comfortable with either. Maybe have a trade agreed to in principle should Fields be on the board at #4.

Why stop there? Davis Mills has been a hot name of late, maybe he can make it all the way to 6th.

It’s costing more to move to 4 than 7 or 8. Especially with what the 49ers gave up.

Bill belichek doesn’t like the rumors that Brady was the biggest factor in their dynasty. He can’t take another year out of the playoff picture.

Lions moving up to #4

Patriots moving up to #4

Atlanta is doing their best trying to create value for this pick. They want more picks and are trying to create as much buzz as possible for #4. I don’t blame them. They’re looking to hit a huge payout with a draft trade, but would be completely content to remain at 4 and select the best non-QB available.

Was just going to say the same thing - 2 reports in a day of “someone wants to trade to the falcons for this guy” kinda sounds like a bunch of BS or driving/evaluating the cost.

Gonna be an interesting day tomorrow, especially when Jacksonville takes Mac Jones first overall!!!

I’m kidding but, there’s my crazy prediction. Lawrence does not go first overall. It’s the only thing that has been more or less guaranteed all off season so of course that would be the craziest thing to happen

This is a bait from lions, they know they can get chase at # 7

I was with you until you said “completely content to remain at 4.” Obviously they would like to break the bank, anyone would. But short of breaking the bank, this is an odd year for them where the talent at the spot doesn’t match their team and needs. I think that is part of why we are seeing them put on the full court press the day before the draft.

Uh, a rookie QB isn’t likely to do that within three years in N.E.

Maybe… that’s why the kept cam?!

That’s a good plan for a QB in NE. Bellichek don’t have time for some rook!

Lions draft fields… trade Goff to NE. GOFF wins multiple SBs. So lionesque

Just an FYI there is another thread on this.

Since we already have a dozen replies and this thread is taking on a slightly different direction we will let it continue.

However you may wish to look at the older thread on this subject.
