More than just the QB. OL looks lost, LBs filling wrong holes, DL not holding gap integrity. And a coach who looks lost on the sideline.
Team looked like trash without Leavitt yesterday. I donât think his sample size of success is big enough yet to get a real look from the elite programs.
Whoever it is, I hope they bring excitement back to the program. Franklin touting his 9+ wins as why fans should be excited was crazy. Especially considering 8 of them were against high school teams every year.
Idk the running game looks pretty good. Def took on a very talented offense. Now I do think Michigan offense was pathetic yesterday, but if Moore is gone, so is underwood. Kid can get money any where
I donât really disagree with you. Michigan likes to hire/promote their program guys more than anyone. From that perspective Moore was the natural choice and they brought in Poggi to mentor him
Itâs a strange culture. The whole âMichigan Manâ thing isnât a thing. It was Bo firing Bill Frieder before the â89 NCAA tournament after heâd accepted a job with ASU. Even Bo wasnât a Michigan man. I think it cemented itself after the internal war when Carr was resigning. A lot of people wanted Les Miles and Carr hated Miles so he pushed for (and got) RichRod instead. And then the same people actively sabotouged Rodriguez
Kiffin?
You have to give him a call
Would Sitaki and Key leave their Alma maters?
Kiffin has it made at Ole Miss. Heâs an SEC guy all the way.
Does he? Heâll never win a championship there.
IMO Rich Rod was one of the worst hiring decisions I have ever seen. Let me explain.
Michigan had the longest stretch of pro style pocket passing QBs making it to the NFL. It had become a âgiven" that if you started for Michigan, you were going to the NFL. That is a huge recruiting advantage. One of the biggest stars in the NFL was Tom BradyâŚwhich was basically like free advertising for UM QBs every time he was on TV. They already had their next pocket passing stud on the roster, Ryan Mallett.
Instead of leaning into their biggest advantage, they threw the baby out with the bathwater so they could have QBs like Tate Forcier and âShoelace.â![]()
Franklin ends up either at Florida or fsu
so they could have QBs like Tate Forcier and âShoelace.â
yeah ⌠but
They supposedly had Terrell Pryor locked up until O$U changed hi$ mind
~
oh how I wish Rodriguez had accepted the Alabama offer instead. Imaging the last 15 years with Saban in Florida or somewhere instead.
Fickell and Bill Callahan were terrible college hires for the same reasons. Not only do you miss on the hire but you lose the culture for a long while.
Itâs the most impressive college coaching job in forever. Just amazing performance by Cignetti.
I figured he would land in the SEC soon.
Nebraska has the number three recruiting class in 2027 (guess itâs down to 5 or 6 now) and if Rhule canât bring Raiola with him he can bring Lateef who is a total stud. It would be a home run from a CEO standpoint but the guy is like 2-22 against Top 25 opponents in his career. 0-11 against the top ten.
Firing James Franklin to hire another James Franklin would be the most Penn State thing ever.
Right. Except James Franklin is a notorious cock sucker and Rhule is the son of a pastor who everyone swears is the type of guy you want your son to grow up to be. But from a pure coaching standpoint? Same dude.
I do think they go big game hunting first but this is clearly the bird in the hand IMO.
In what games in the last two years has Michigan looked well coached? Itâs Hoke but with better recruiting.
In what world does Hoke or a poorly coached team beat OSU and Alabama to close out the 2024 season?
Michigan is a year ahead of schedule and Wolverine fans want heads to roll. This is getting insane, will gladly welcome you back on to the bandwagon in 26 & 27 though
