Post the dumbest or best Skubal trade ideas here

The Pirates are crazy cheap. They wouldn’t want Skubal in a million years.

A cy young winner will put butts in the seats. Cheap owners care more about that than the future or present of their club. It all depends on how stupid and short sighted they are. It isn’t out of the realm of possibility. Looking back we should have never been able to trade for Cabrera.

But Skenes is cheap for several more years and Skubal is not. Just makes no sense to me bud.

That’s why I said it was a dream scenario.

If Owen Cassie could play center they have his replacement coming up this year.

They also have Alcantra coming up who is a CF

It would have to be PCA + like PCA/Wiggins/Palencia/Shaw type

It would have to be a three way and Pirates would want prospects or early first contract guys.

Yeah Cassie and Ballesteros are who I was alluding to. Not sure Alcantara is a guy to count on if I were them. Very not sure about Cassie moving to CF. He is Judge big, but he is a big dude. Figures…Canadian. He could probably do it for a few years out of the gate…

Detroit Tigers Receive: (LHP) MacKenzie Gore, (OF) James Wood, (3B) Brady House, (RHP) Jarlin Susana

Washington Nationals Receive: (LHP) Tarik Skubal

Saw this in a nationals trade proposal I would make a few changes but I do like the thought of Gore/Wood but i think i would like Sykora over Susana

Been waiting for House, for awhile, to get to the Bigs. Super lame start for his ability. Kind of like Tork in that every step up he at first is the driver of The Struggle Bus. Then, he clicks in, and his pop shows up. Not gonna be more than Ron Cey/Insert random 25+ HR 3b here, but cheap young useful.

Wood is a guy that can win an MVP. He is a giant physical specimen and has a great eye with light tower power. Glove work is meh. But he really struggled down the stretch after a ridiculous first half. Kinda Dave Winfield without the elite cannon. Gore also really struggled down the stretch. Is he a 2 or a 4? Good question. Check back every month.

Would I take this deal? Hells yes I would. Which is why a still rebuilding Nats club won’t.

It blows my mind you guys know prospects on other teams. That’s impressive.

This guy seems to take a pretty strong stance against the mechanics that Tom House taught Prior.

House was a huge name in biomechanics when I was younger…
haven’t really looked into much of it in detail in the past 25 years.

I remember the Tom House videos.

My favorite part of this thread is that it made me realize that the Brewers have a prospect named Jesus Made. If the Chick-Fil-A guy owned a club he’d trade everything but his Sunday day of rest for the guy.

Brewers have 3 SS prospects that look super good. I think they want to hold on to Jesus Made though, even if just for the marketing

But only one of them is Jesus Made!

And he is the best of the 3
