Can anyone explain why the Lions have to play the Ravens?
It seems like the Lions should have a match up with a non-playoff team from the AFC for that extra 17th game of the season since the Lions didn’t make the playoffs.
Instead, they have to go against one of the best teams in the league on the road.
I guess it all works out since the Lions get to play Green Bay, Bears, and Vikes SIX times!!
24-20 Lions.
Payback game for Tucker stealing their first win with a record setting field goal, even though that game is part of their learning to play through adversity education.
This is the kind of game that will test our brand of west coast offense. My guess is we’re going to go more ‘long handoffs’ ie dink and dunk to the RBs. Gibbs could actually have a pretty good day.
Ravens bring another strong physical defense and I suspect the game will be similar to the TB game.
While the Ravens failed to get the ball in the end zone against TN I thought Jackson looked pretty good running and throwing. Seems to have a strong connection with the TE and the rookie WR, Zaye??.
For me this will be the toughest test for AG and his defense, team has faced QB’s that can scramble this season but Jackson is at a different level.
2.5 point underdogs means we are pretty even.
This team doesn’t care where they play they reject home field advantage. Especially when fans show like they have been.
I think we still have advantage in intangibles. But this will be a tough game.

We are matched up with a particular division in the AFC, which is predetermined and rotates. The NFC North is matched with the AFC North this year. So we play the team that finished where we did in our division.
Vikings play Bengals
Lions play Ravens
Packers play Steelers
Bears play Browns
I will explain just because I found this out this year and I love that I now know how the schedule is made.
So everyone on in the North Division plays each other twice (6 games) they all play the same AFC Division (4 games West this year) they all play the same NFC Division (South 4 games), So then the difference for each team in the NFC North is you play the team that finished in the same position that you did last season for for the Lions (Dallas, Seattle 2 games). This makes up 16 games. They then play a team from one of the 3 Divisions in the AFC (the 3 that they are not parts of the one they cross over with) that finished at the same position as they did last season. In this case for the Lions it is the 2nd place Ravens.
So the options were : Ravens, Miami, Titans. So pick your poison. I would take the Raven over Miami LOL.
Gibby & Netflix boost their game. Laporta & Ra mix it up enough underneath that optimus 9 gets another long ball score. starts out a fist fight…until we have enough of a lead to take them out of their game plan.
Foxy-boy could be huge again for the 3rd week in a row (shocker)
