PREDICTION: DETROIT vs BALTIMORE

Its a game like this where you hope you have a guy like campbell, barnes and anzalone and branch…oh wait we do…

Hope they’re talking to Gibby as we speak. This is a game where D-mont would be reeeeaaally nice to have.

Once we get them in deep water, it’s over.

I love that. THIS is what a run game and defense do for you. Create a deep water scenario that isn’t just a shootout. Juuuust drown 'em in the deep end.

Start out deferring the kickoff…
Come out and start throwing body shots (run game and solid D).
Early rounds are quite a fist fight.
Hit 'em with a deep shot, once they learn they have to start keying on the run.
Go into locker room with lead/come out and receive after half…
Start running it down their throat again…then Ben hits ‘em with one of the misdirection plays he’s been setting them up for since early in the first…
Maintain and build on a lead that starts to become troublesome when time is factored in (Deep water time)
They’re out of their game plan and most teams don’t’ have the horses to make that sort of comeback.

We’re going to lose another game at some point and this one is the most likely… This is the kind of game we need D-Mo for and he’s out. Lamar will be an issue and the Ravens defense is fantastic, better than TB. I think the Lions lose a close one on the road here.

I think we win comfortably. Bloodbath early on. Discipline and winning at the margins will be huge. Gibby is WAY overdue. We have yet to show our full potential. Gibby and Jamo both start hitting → EVERYTHING is different.

I originally had this penned in as one we could lose. I think we win by 14 though

Tough opponent. Highly doubt they beat us by two scores.

Ravens D is no joke hopefully Gibbs is good to go and plays like the 12th pick. Goff willl have to be lights out again and the ol needs to give him time as the ravens have a top notch pass rush, We have been bad at stopping running qbs for as long as I can remember and we will need to change that this game. I’m thinking this will be a low scoring game and Jack Cambell will recover a late Lamar fumble to preserve a 20-17 win

Anyone know what the weather is supposed to be like?

As of this moment…

High was listed as 64 yesterday

Watching Total access replay this am, yesterday’s show, Kurt Warner and David Carr are discussing the Lions offense and what they need to to do to beat Baltimore.
First thing Warner said, need to bring the run game back, only 10 play action passes against Tampa. That will slow Baltimore defense down, then attack the middle of the field.

We play them straight up, real close. Defensive FG game.
But as time expires, Justin Tucker hits a new record 73 yard FG that bounces off a refs head and over the crossbar. They have to check on replay. They then have to consent the rule book. Which of course just says, “Make it up as you go.”
NFL awards Ravens the win. 15-13.

Honestly for the remainder of the schedule this is THE most likely game for us to lose.

I’d be ok with a play hard, close loss kind of game. I mean I realize we’re all ‘next man up’ but sometimes you run out of men.

Unless we make sewell RB for just this week and take our pound of flesh 3 yards at a time.

Gonna be a nail biter for sure (IMO)

At Dallas is going to be tough. They’re +55 points in their two home games.

LAC will be a close game but The Chargers will likely blow it

Odds are yes but, given the schedule, there’s no reason this team can’t finish 16-1
I’m typing that with a straight face
Then all playoff games are at Ford Field

This will be the biggest challenge to date
But, so far, this team is as ■■■■■■■ resilient as it gets

Well there is one reason… it’s the NFL. Since the league went to 16 and then 17 games there have been 7 1 loss teams. That’s 2 conference in 45 seasons.

One loss seasons are incredibly rare.

To be fair everyone beats up the Patriots this year so I don’t put much into +55.

Dallas is driving up point differential by beating bad teams by a lot. Now I think the game will be close when Detroit plays them.

That is some of it. I think it’s also in large part game script based as well.

I’ve made this comparison a few times but Dallas is post prison Mike Tyson. Not quite the fighter that they were made out to be but still incredibly dangerous early in the fight. If you make it out of round 1 and 2 you’ve got a good shot.

When Dallas gets up and just allows their pass rushers to T off, damn they’re tough. But as opposed to the Lions who can win all sorts of ways that’s really the only way Dallas can win convincingly. Otherwise their best case is what we saw Monday night.

I think both @Bal and @Dal are very tough games.

I would be shocked if Det beat Bal the way they beat TB. This will be a very tough game.

Scrambling QB, unfamiliar opponent, cold weather, multiple RBs out/banged up.

Will be happy with a very tight win!
