Anthony Montalvo Might be a late round prospect worth developing.

I wonder where this kid will go but I’m intrigued by him.

Did Bolden slip in the shuttle? 4.63 is so out of line with the other results and then no 3-cone? Things that make you go hmmm…

Yeah agreed, I just started watching him tonight and so far I like what I see. I do wonder how long his arms are, I wish we had gotten a length measurement.

I find it wild how slept on Trey Palmer still is amongst draftniks. As you mentioned that may not be the case amongst clubs.

  • if you prorate the time in which Casey Thompson was healthy he leads the country in receiving yards.
  • there are multiple games against legit D1 teams (Iowa and Purdue at the very least) in which he’s by far the best player on the field that day
  • he’s got legit world class speed (it’s my understanding that he can touch the 4.2s on a goood day)
  • he’s age appropriate
  • he’s got pedigree
  • in this class he has good-ish size
  • he’s a legit hands catcher with consistently solid concentration
  • he can be a weapon in the return game and on jet sweeps and reverses

Sure, he’s not refined, you wish he was more physical, there’s some diva there, he has a ways to go as a route runner, etc…

But again in a class that lacks 6 feet+ burners I just don’t get why his sails aren’t catching more wind.

Bet he winds up in Seattle

I could see him going anywhere from the early 2nd to the 4th. The case for early you stated, the case for later is one-year wonder worries, the route-running concerns you mentioned, the lack of physicality and the concern he might not work on the outside. Similar issues as Hyatt actually. Personally I have Palmer and Hyatt ranked within ten spots of one another.

Hyatt will go before Tillman IMO. Addison will as well (though I’m more bearish on Addison than most). Tillman vs QT is interesting. I think you can make the argument that CT is now the #1 True X in this class.

On thing that I find interesting is that A.T. Perry athletically is closer to what we thought Quentin Johnson was then Quentin Johnston is. And Perry is much more natural at plucking the ball.

To me A.T. Perry is Walmart Brand A.J. Green.

I’m have a Hyatt bias. I picked him up early in the year in fantasy. And from the start it was wow speed. And I get that there is a bit of an illusion bc of the offset free release but still… my god. Like special, special speed. If he’s there at 48 I’m running the cars up to the podium.

AJ Green is exactly who I see when I watch Perry. I know it’s a bit of a ridiculous ceiling comp, but stylistically it’s almost perfect.

I have Addison at #149 on my list so I’m pretty low on him too lol.

I have my concerns with Hyatt but his highs are verrrry enticing. It’s easy to envision him on our roster specifically. I actually have trouble ranking him.

Pretty great numbers here:

One thing about both Palmer and Addison. Mark Whipple is both awesome at scheming guys open and really force feeds stars targets even going back to UMASS.

Then Addison played for probably the most gifted pass game guy at that level.

He’s been in VERY production conducive environments. And then he ends up being not particularly fast and also tiny.

I just don’t see it with him.

Couldn’t agree more. It’s hard to even find a comp for Addison, all the small guys I want to comp him to actually weight in the 190s. I thought Tylan Wallace made sense, but he was 194. But hey both look faster on the field than they actually are, both got open fairly easily because they don’t lose speed when they cut, Wallace was probably better at the catch point but Addison is a better route runner. Again though, he’s 20 pounds heavier. I just really don’t see a world where Addison is all that great.

Danny Kelly used Dede Westbrook as his worst case comp on Addison. I actually think that’s a pretty good one.

I also don’t think people realize that Dede would have been a useful piece for awhile without that gruesome injury.

Yeah I heard that and it struck me as a good comp too. Of course part of the concern with being that small is the injury risk, Westbrook is a cautionary tale.

Today is FAU pro day, tomorrow is FAU final four day. Big weekend for FAUs.

A better look at this catch. It’s something else

Pretty fast for a TE. The first one was unofficially 4.6
