that docking scene was tense as hell
It was a good flick, very enjoyable. I also watched Mortal Kombat 2 - Karl Urban is a good Johnny Cage.
My Dad is a Business Professor, my mom, sister and 2 sister-in-laws are teachers. Teaching is a noble profession. The ability to transfer knowledge, identify and adapt to various learning styles all while managing a classroom filled with different personalities is a gift. Coming from a family of educators, it mystifies me how I was born without the talent. I got no patience and in my professional career much prefer the conditioning method of training - a good beating does amazing things for retention levels (mostly joking).
Drive was Goslings best film. Phenomenal soundtrack. Iconic meat-eating super assassin stoic. A must watch.
Finally got around to watching this (only 2 months late) Really enjoyed it. I hadn’t read the book but my wife had.
My wife and I just watched it last night as well. We loved it. I don’t say that about most modern movies these days.
. I’m not sure of the last movie I watched and was actually thoroughly entertained recently. This one was great.
I was worried because everyone i knew that had watched it told me “oh its right up your alley, you will love it”. i like scyfy. I like astro physics. Apocalypse. Theories etc,
But i was worried people were over hyping it and i would be let down. Boy was i proven wrong.
It was amazing. My wife and i loved it. Gonna show it to our 7 year old later this summer (i know shes gonna cry) but love it.
But yea i know its based off a book, but its an original MOVIE. Like not a remake. Not documentary movie or anything like that. All new IPO (and not a animated kids movie)
Thats the first one ive seen that i enjoyed and thought about days later in a long long time
Can we just admit Karl Urban can do anything
Just watched it Friday night. Hadn’t read the book.
Creative and cute with some nice emotional wrestling underneath(kinda). Not gonna pick it apart, but a couple loose ends.

3 Body Problem, The Martian and Rush Hour wake up after a hot threesome and had a cute puppy.
For me it was The Fall Guy.
So my take is that Project Hail Mary was good. Not great, but a worthy movie to pay the price of admission for. I liked the Martian better, but I thought the Martian was amazing.
I was thinking the same thing. Interstellar > The Martian > Project Hail Mary. I think Hail Mary was handcuffed a bit by the premise … majority of the dialogue is a guy talking to an animated rock, so it lacked a little bit of depth for me. Good movie, but not great.
I honestly loved the new Mortal Kombat and thought the 2021 sucked. I am by no means a fan of the games or movies, but my bro wanted to see it and I thought it was great!
Project Hail Mary was one of the best movies I’ve seen in a while. So I share the overall sentiment of the OP! ![]()
I used to be like this also. But I have come to find out that over analyzing everything is quite miserable. It’s so much more simple and enjoyable to just take everything at face value. Don’t cause yourself any more stress (even on the most tiny of levels) than you have to brother!
“You guys have all of these amazing powers, and I’m just ridiculously handsome”
Loved it
I watched the movie last week and really liked it. I read the book this week and thought it was even better.
the invite was great - literally just got back from watching it.
The Odessy was pretty “meh”, IMO.
Evil Dead one was not believable to me. Some fun blood’n’guts, with some masculine humor…but not enough to save the movie from a C- rating. I really felt like they broke the rules (super-important to Sci-Fi -ish movies
Too bad. I was hoping this would be good since it was Nolan and all…
