So where does Campbell say it’s unlikely that Frank will play in 2026….?

I mean that’s not really a head coach question. He doesn’t know. He’s focused on the next game. All he knows is that he doesn’t have Ragnow for the next game.

Either way, 1st or 2nd round needs to be a center

Lol why does it have to be a first or second? Where the Lions will be picking Center is a horrible value in the first. There are many different ways to skin a cat. Lots of different ways to acquire a quality Center.

I’m still holding out hope we can splash in Free Agency

Trey & Lindebaum for me

But there has to be one there worth it , and I’m not sure there is one. Tyler might be the only good option and he will probably get resigned. But if not Brad needs to be ready to make a big move.

If you want another slapdick playing center

How else would you interpret what he said? The guy has a ripped up hamstring, and the Lions posted ā€œFrank will always be a Lion.ā€ He isn’t playing in 2026. Let it go.

Geez..sounds like we might have to address the center position.

As I said in another thread, they knew Glasgow wasn’t it and somehow thought Trystan Colon and his 30 inch arms were gonna be sufficient.

This forum has still failed to reconcile Brad’s offseason failure.

But I’m sure someone will STILL defend spending multiple picks on Isaac TesLaa.

And before someone says, ā€œWeLl WhAT wOuLd YoU dO!?!?!ā€. I am not paid millions of dollars to figure out that problem. Brad is. That’s the point. And by the way, picking Aidan Hutchinson is not a great pick. It’s an obvious one. And no, it wasn’t enough.

You can interpret it however you want…. That’s still not what he said.

There are two camps with TesLaa. In one camp you have those who acknowledge the draft capital given up but think mid season year one is too soon to declare a pick a failure. The other camp is made up of people so pissed at the trade that they can’t help but trash the pick.

That’s definitely not what Campbell said. Ragnow may or may not play next year. I don’t think even Ragnow knows.

agreed. I love aiden but he isn’t the type of DE that can take over a game by himself at the NFL level. just a little help on the other side and he’d be fine.

Brad made great moves with trading stafford who wanted to be traded. we got a good haul. Now that the drafts are more difficult and you need to get great value out of them because we draft later, I’d say he’s more hit and miss.

But not addressing areas of need more aggressively really hurt us this year.

just looking at teams like green bay or philly (who won the super bowl) making great trades to bolster themselves while we said ā€˜we’re good’ is just…well it’s pretty damn frustrating.

Lots of anger by the Lions fanbase this season, lots of anger not just here but everywhere. I get that it’s been an uneven season but, sheesh, you’d think this was the Browns based on some of the fan reactions.

Also, Dan didn’t say it was unlikely that Frank would return, he said he had no indication that he was returning or in other words, he doesn’t know. Either way, the Lions should prepare for their future at center regardless.

Good lord, you keep saying this. It’s a bullshit straw man. I’m not saying he’s a failure. Yes, year 1 is abysmal and a waste, but it’s more about the opportunity cost. This team did NOT need to spend multiple third round picks on a third (and in some cases fourth) receiver. And that has reared its ugly head MULTIPLE times this year.

One of you TesLaa defenders even said he was insurance for Jamo. Like WTF.

Dan: ā€œI have no indication (Frank wants to play next year).ā€

Lions team statement: ā€œFrank will forever be a Lion.ā€

Fans: ā€œOMG HE’S DEFINITELY PLAYING IN 2026!!!ā€

Yes, I’m totally the one misreading the situation.

Dan said earlier this year that ā€œ the ship has sailedā€ regarding Ragnow returning.. and yet he attempted to make a return. No one knows what’s in store next year. No point in trying to read into it either way.
