Again I said his last few drafts weren’t great and if want to build a team around the draft you got to hit some hrs.
Have you seen how many guys we have listed as the top players for their position under 25? I’d call that a number of home runs.
The 2024 draft is a monster whiff. However, the rest of Holmes drafts have been great to excellent. He has found cornerstone players in 2021, 2022, 2023. 2025 has starters. 2026 hasn’t even played yet.

Sounds like McCreary is having a bad camp so he might be a surprising cut to keep someone like Ironsides instead.

Like I said earlier, Dan isn’t going to come out and trash his players… He’s being complimentary and judicious with his words, smart. Who knows, maybe they’re trying to trade him… But we get this every year, roster bubble guy makes plays in camp and preseason, becomes fan favorite, fans shocked when he doesn’t make the roster. Maybe I’m wrong, time will tell, but it’s pretty obvious to me that if they keep 6, and no injuries happen, Whiteside will be on the PS again

Look at the LIONS depth chart, he’s our 2nd CB. You think that’s Dan talk? Dan doesn’t talk this way, he puts the depth chart up for all to see, those that see it know why the #1’s are 1’s the 2’s are 2’s and so on. No fluff, that’s not a Dan trait.
Look it up, Rakes has earned #2 on the depth chart, you really believe he’s not a lock? That would just be stubborn.

Seriously I hate to be negative about the guy again, but Tyleik needs to prove he’s a good player first. People can start. Heck, Vildor was a starter. They also have to be good. He’s not good yet. Who is the 3rd starter? I agree 2026 looks excellent. But 2024 also did and broke my heart… so far
Reed was a very good CB2 with the Jets. He was never a proven CB1. I get it, first few games he looked ok, but he was bad when he came back. He needs to be good first for me to say he’s good.
I’m not trying to disagree with you. Brad is the man. I just learned to keep my expectations in check.

That’s not the same, Vukdor was a starter bc of massive amounts of injury. Tyliek is a starter day one on a SB contending team… He’d start on most teams.
He looked like a CB1 the 1st 4 weeks of the season… I have no reason to assume he’s not back to form a year after his injury. But time will tell

I hope that’s not literally how you are forming your opinion. DC is not releasing an official depth chart daily for the Lions website to post. That’s a guy like you or I hired to run the site.
Abney is not getting cut…0% chance. Whiteside might make it over McCreary, but not Abney.
