Red Wings 2nd Half Thread

Exactly. Him on line 3 paired with Johansson is top tier. Not saying you need a top tier 3 pairing haha but nice to see.

I’m torn. Seems like too much, but that’s a TDL deal for you.

Solid trade for sure, really helps the 3rd line

Do you know any of Faulks contract details by chance?

Either way I think this makes us better for sure.

Edit…never mind. Thanks for the info

Yall better not get bent out of shape for this, this was literally the price for him

Blues saw Carlson go for the same amount. Of Course they want basically the same thing back

This will definitely make us better. The price was steep but almost everyone was paying big this year.

Not having enough prospects is not our problem right now. I could care less about having draft picks this year.

Exactly, our Farm is Full

Given the market, this was about fair price (regardless of how we feel about it)

Justin Holl was sent to STL as part of the deal.

So basically

Faulk for Soderblom, Holl, +1st

What this does do is make me question why we couldn’t trade for Quinn Hughes earlier this year? They have the same amount of term left. Plus Hughes is much better and younger.

Hard disagree. It’s about timing and assets. The Wings are not making a deep playoff run this year. I’d much rather save the assets to trade when they are ready to make a deep run.

I have no issues making a deal, but this seems steep to give up for a 1st or 2nd round playoff exit.
