Thank you for that response. That clears up alot of things for me. I love watching hockey when the wings are playing good but that hasn’t happened much in my lifetime. I am not as familiar with the players as I am in baseball or football so thank you again that was a great response.

These guys blow. You can keep 3 of them and put them on the 4th line. The others have to go. At least Kasper is still young and provides checking (he really needs time with other skilled guys - not the old losers).

When they are actually in the O Zone Copp and Compher are the most efficient outside of Cat and Raymond. (More efficient than Larkin)
The problem is they are never in the OZone. Because they are playing top line minutes.
December was their best month! 20 points in 15 games between them. Only had 14:00 TOI/G. under 25% of 5v5 ice time (Bottom 6)
After the break? 17-18 TOI/G. 30+% of TOI Thats why they fell off. They were on the top 6 lines.
Put them back on the bottom 6 and they will be good enough.
Not gonna find anyone else better in FA. And not like Finnie or kasper scored a bunch either. And Danileson is a defensive forward. Theres no high power forward coming up this year.
Best bet keeping them on the bottom 6. Hope they show up and dump them at the deadline or off season. (Copp is a FA after this year)

Dead ■■■■■■■ last in the NHL in actually converting his chances. The only reason his stats look better than JT and Ras are because he played with Kane and Cat for most of the year

JT compher and Copp are efficient when in the OFFENSIVE ZONE.
Again. 0.5 points per game in December. Why? Bottom 6!
They were more efficient than Larkin. More efficient than Kane. In terms of Points vs Time in O Zone.
Once they went to top 6 after the break. 0 production.
They are good players when they are not in the top 6. The problem is they didnt have a 2nd line center to replace larkin when he got hurt. They didnt have a #4 wing after Raymond, Cat and Kane.
They were forced to move those guys up. This team has 0 depth. One or 2 players go down they are effed.
Back when Kasper and Finnie were top 6 and Copp and Compher were bottom 6.
All of them were + G/XG.
Copp and Compher ice time went up.
Finnie and Kasper time went down,
All 4 suffered.
They are good bottom 6! 10-12TOI/G 5v5.
I dont want them top 6. 13-15TPI/G 5v5
I really like ASP, I know he had a rough year and got pushed around a lot, but I like to think he has potential still. Hopefully he has a good offseason and can add some strength. What did you think of him?

I definitely agree, gotta see improvement next year. Apparently Edvinnson was banged up, not that injuries are an excuse and if you’re healthy enough to play, you gotta play. But here’s hoping for them to improve

ASP and Edvison can be good. But they arnt the problem.
They need SCORERS!
Kasper, Finnie, Danielson, MBN, Lombardi.
THEY need to be good next year.
MBN and Lombardi had 40 pnts in GR.
MBN didnt do well in NHL. Lombardi hasnt had a shot yet.
Thats what they need.

Plante isn’t exactly a burner. He’s got good edge work and is shiftier, but he’s not really a fast guy. More quick. And Plante may run into similar problems that ASP runs into because he just a little guy.
I’m not worried about either right now though. Especially MBN. Guy is 20 years old playing in NA for the first time. Just needs time. NHL was maybe to much for him right away, but he’s turned it on in the AHL. He’s actually been pretty impressive there. I think he’s got a good future, tbh.

I hope he does, but to me he looked like not a very good skater
I do like that he isn’t scared to play a heavy body game though, strong as an ox
