So obvious - they moved San Jose up what, 7 spots so they can get someone to play with celebrini, keep marketing to the west coast. Canucks were terrible and got the 3rd pick, reminded me of them moving the wings down when they were historically bad a few years ago.
Threw Toronto a bone to let Canada know they still care about them, really they do!
if it makes us feel any better, the wings pick to St. Louis was 15, so I guess we didn’t get ultra screwed by them getting a really good pick.
I didn’t watch but just saw the results, I refuse to give that trash a channel click on tv

Toronto is also one of the 5 biggest markets in the league.
Rangers, Devils, and Blackhawks are other big market teams that have all made major jumps up to #1 overall thanks to the “lottery”.

can’t say I’m surprised though, I would expect nothing less from them, especially now having an official partnership with poly market and kalshi. Although bettman did come from the nba so he obviously learned the trade well.
