Lol. I thought that I was the only hockey dork to stay up and watch the game.
I hate that they blew a 2 goal lead in the 3rd…but 2 more points! I’m starting to feel like the Wings are for real.

I swear Larkin lost every faceoff that he played. OTOH, defensively, he saved the Wings bacon, at least 2 times on point-blank shots by the Kings in the goal mouth, with his stick position able to deflect SURE goals. Defenseman Chiarot is really, really, bad, deliberately skating out to meet a Kings Forward, leaving his Goalie, defenseless. Berrgren played well, though you won’t see his name on the scoresheet. Finnie & ASP look like they belong, especially Finnie, always properly positioned, thinks the game well. ASP, still has some growing pains, but knows how to shoot from the point, effectively. He initiated the Kaspar, high stick deflection from the point.
Wings are playing sound, positional hockey, forechecking, with Excellent Goaltending, so far. They have gotton off to a fast start, standings wise, but so has just about everybody else in the Eastern Conference. They are “Banking” these early wins for late in the season “Crunch Time”, inevitable March slump may happen Post Olympics. - GO WINGS !!..
Gibson is awful another bad trade by Yzerman.
Yeah Gibson stinks. Are we still first in the entire Atlantic division or did we slip one game back after last night?
In 1st but they played a extra game as well. Still a shit trade

At the time it seemed logical. I guess Gibson is washed. Maybe he’s sick. Something is wrong. I don’t get how a 2.9 GGA , .910 save %, 13-year veteran falls off so badly like that.
At this point get rid of him now.

He had not lived up to expectations but there is still a long ways to go
Talbot has been great but he’s 38 and maybe the young guys aren’t ready

The price is steep but very much worth it.
There is a ton of smoke out there over this. I think it could happen. The Wings are one of a very few teams that have what it takes and would be willing to do it…imo
