Ew. No thanks to that.
He doesn’t. If the Red Wings want him, they can get him.
I also saw something that said Quinn would be happy playing in Detroit, as I recall seeing that he has other family ties to the area. Maybe I’m wrong on that though.
He’s a free agent after next season right now, so Yzerman will likely want an extension before a deal is done. I think that’s what is keeping them from doing a deal soon.
I think we’d be able to do that if you take out Finnie and make the 2027 pick a non-first.
That would be dumb if there is no extension and trading future pieces. I kinda wish he did this before season even begun
I don’t think it was apparent to Vancouver that Hughes didn’t want to sign an extension with them until after the season started.
Thats a risk
Would be great if they can land him. Was a lot of fun to watch him play last night vs the wings. I don’t know how to describe hockey players traits, but everything he did to me looked unbelievable, smooth, and way too easy
Natural
Hughes is a great defenseman. No doubt. But if Vancouver can’t make any deal, then he head to N J to play with his brothers
UNLESS
The Red Wings offer way more money as an UFA that Jersey can’t match. Money still talks when you consider the short working life of a pro.
Also his agent might like it. The Wings should have the cap space.

This city needs to grow a pair of balls and stop being the ■■■■■■■ joke that it is.
That takes the wind right out of my sails. I was certain that we were going to get him.

I should’ve known better. Detroit teams treat free agency and trades like they’re a fatal disease.
Brad Holmes, Trajan Langdon, Scott Harris, and Steve Yzerman:

I think in some of the cases it’s ownership. Seems like Harris and Yzerman’s hands are tied. I don’t know about Langdon because I don’t follow basketball. Holmes is just kind of stubborn
Red Wings continuing to play very good hockey.
Shots 27 to 12, up 4-1 against the best defensive team in the NHL Washington Capitals
Hopefully they close this out with a win
At the moment this definitely looks like a playoff team
I keep forgetting to watch them.
Bump, another great win for the Red Wings over the Minnesota North Stars. Larkin with his 20th of the season and an OT winner at that.
Gibson has now won 8 straight and basically we have no clue who he is as a goalie. He went like two months looking like the worst goalie ever, and now no one can get anything past him
