Could be interesting to pair him with Edvinsson. Leadership, offensive ability. Little concerned about his defensive play as he is older now, but heâd be light years above Holl. If the Pens could retain anywhere from half to 4m a year of that salary, thatâd be pretty sick.

Regarding Karlsson, I am for it even though he is up in years.
I wonder if Yzerman recalls early in his career that the Wings brought in Brad Park. The guy has no knees but still played good position and used his smarts. It rubbed off on his teammates.

I donât follow hockey like I used to. Are the players yzerman is bringing in blocking our better prospects? Or are they meant to buy time for prospects that are close but not ready yet. Did yzerman adapt the wings longer timetable philosophy for player development? I remember back in the day the wings used to almost keep prospects in the minors too long.
It seams like its 50/50 in the NHL.
a. Bring up the prospects ASAP. Or at the very least get 10-15 games in.
B. Leave them down in the minors for 3-5 years.
Theres really no in between. And the wings are HEAVILY in that group B tier. Other than Seider and Raymond

Which is exactly what youâve been pissing and shitting yourself about throughout this thread (draft picks coming up - even though theyâre coming up at a fine rate).

Im piecing together multiple reports.
There was reports back in april that free agents, managers and team GMs dont want to work with steve at all. Like theres zero negotiation with Steve. His offer is his offer.
He has said in the past he doesnt want to hand out term. Last year post FA. âThese players got longer contracts then we wantedâ
Im sorry no halfway decent free agent is gonna take under a 5 year deal.
Virtually every report of âwhy is it like thisâ is because the organization is viewed as hopeless.
Havent been good in over 10 years. When most free agents where in high school. They have no clear plan or future. They arny a rising team. They dont have a true clear cut star that players want to play with.
Then you have the Larkin vs Steve saga this year.
Im sorry. I have absolutely 0 faith in Steve anymore. Ive heard NOTHING in the past 2 years that give me ANY hope this team will take any significant steps forward.

LOL. Okay. I spent some time looking at GP by draft picks since 2019 when Steve took over.
The Wings are #11 in the league with 943 games played in the NHL from their draft picks. So spare me the âThe Wings are HEAVILY in the B tierâ group as if they are doing anything different than most other NHL teams. Theyâre above league average in getting NHL games out of their picks over the last 5 years. Again, another thing you say that has literally no basis or merit or research behind it. Just feels. And youâre wrong.

I mean working in the profession that I work in I hear a lot of things, some are true and others turn out to be not true. But what heâs saying about Yzerman I have a hard time believing it unless I see, like, a direct quote
