Report: Bears have 4 head coach candidates on their shortlist

I’m not sure Flores is in a position to be picky. Vrabel and Ben are.

Aaron Glenn: He is the guy they don’t want. Apparently.

…like AG and Ben

I don’t know if Ben is Head Coach material. I just don’t see that Leader of Men type of guy.

Vrabel warrants a shot with a decent team. Not CHI.

This is exactly the time to be picky.
Flores probably has one more shot at a head coaching job. He can’t take a job that sets him up to fail, or he can’t control whether he succeeds or not.
Flores is in a good position with an offensive Head Coach that will let him run the defense however he wants and a GM that will equip him with the proper personnel.

No to Reheem Morris to anywhere.

The best place for Ben to go is New Orleans.

“having to report to a team president, who reports to the owner”

This is an ownership problem, not a GM or Team President problem. If the owner is insulating himself from the boots on the ground, then how do you fix that? They’ll need to have an awakening where ownership makes themselves accessible not only to the President, but to the ENTIRE front office and coaching staff.

Absolutely agree, I didn’t say they would go there just that those two will be on most lists of open jobs.

Doesn’t he still have a lawsuit going against the NFL? If he gets an offer, I would think he takes it. There is no guarantee he gets a second. I’m not saying that’s fair, but it’s sort of reality for him.

I think Jacksonville is probably the best landing spot if he is allowed to pick the GM he will be paired up with.

Relatively patient owner, long term QB who has significant potential to improve, high draft pick, solid cap space and ■■■■ all dead money next year so a good opportunity to retool the roster.

BJ to Jax… if they get a new GM. Otherwise he stays here.

AG to Cincy.

Exactly, this is why I don’t believe it’s Ben. Honestly, I think it would be difficult for a young coach to call plays and lead imo. KC can do it but they have a veteran HC. But it also depends on the other coaches that are hired. Carolina is trying to do it but look about bad the team is. Also, I pointed out how their HC was so consumed in the play sheet, while his team was poorly organized on the last series against Philly.
