Among his many great roles, one of his best IMO was playing Scrooge in ā€œA Christmas Carolā€. Tall shoes to fill with a lot of previous Scrooge’s, but he pulled it off well.

I know he is famous for so many different movies. But I always know him first and foremost as the Spook whose nose gets bitten by Mel Gibson in Conspiracy Theory.

For a second I thought you were talking about Daryl Dragon from Captain and Tennille*

*I know. It’s a joke

Super sucks. Glad he was able to do Season 3 of Picard, which was fan service top to bottom and was a great farewell.

Now give us Annika (7 of 9) as Captain in Legacy please.

As both a Star Trek and Dune mega honk, seeing him first as Gurney Halleck before being Picard was nice… though I don’t think he really captured how dangerous Gurney was, and Josh Brolin hasn’t at all captured any part of Halleck except the danger.

Spot on Professor X though. Scrooge too. He was just incredibly talented….and had rescue pitties, so Khan is a sad puppy boy today too.

RIP

Just saw this and posted. Mods please remove my posting.

As a nerd, I watched Star Trek all the time during its original run. He did a great job as Captain Picard. Also really liked Green Room. Never watched any X-Men not my kind of thing.

Marvel movies are closer to cartoons than science fiction.

And Shatner keeps on rockin’ in the free world.

Sad day. Honestly he had just made Doomsday and didn’t even look ill at all aside of his obvious ageing but he looked fantastic for his age. I didn’t realize alzheimers and lewey body dementia had ā€˜fast onset’.

Being a Star Trek fan, he was obviously fantastic in his role but his roles were SO varied. The first thing I think I saw him in was either Dune or Lifeforce.

His personal life he was pretty much a fantastic human being. Using his celebrity to be a vocal advocate for domestic abuse survivors (because of his mother being beaten by his father). Supporting the LGBTQ+ community, watching him and Ian McKellan together was fantastic you could see how much they loved each other.

A very sad day. Hopefully he didn’t suffer and was able to pass being loved by his family and friends.
