Salt Lake City should sue the NBA

I get that there have been too many fishy things with the NBA draft in the past to just give them a pass w/o transparency.

BUT

they pulled off the frozen envelope right in front of everyone and their Big 5 Accounting auditor (though tbh, Big 5 auditors are absolutely for sale to the highest bidder if you are paying any bit of attention at all, corporate/government wise).

So transparency? They’ll rig that too.

Their slogan was “trust the process”. They deliberately traded away any talent they had and benched players late in the season to tank.

They didn’t even have the worst record in the league that year. So if that was tanking then they sucked at that too…

And I trying to figure out who are these best players that they traded to tank??

ROY winner Michael Carter-Williams, Jrue Holiday, Nikola Vucevic…

So are we talking about Charles Barkley or Julius Erving?? Moses Malone?? Michael Carter-Williams got traded in 2014-2015….so he was on that team. Jrue Holiday is a JOURNEYMAN. And WTF has Nikola Vucevic….he was only with them the 2011-2012 season before he went to Orlando. We are talking 2013-2014

They were out-tanked. :joy:

I guess we are all free to interpret it how we choose. But can you explain what the process was, if it wasn’t tanking?

The process was no different than any other franchise trying to get better. They weee simply gonna take it step-for-step. But Embidd wasn’t even available to them for his first two years or so….so that was a big part of their “process” slogan

Question: if the Detroit LIons win the Super Bowl, or the Pistons win the NBA championship, was it rigged?

Both probably wont happen.

I don’t think so but I do believe that if a team has the worst record in a league they should have the first pick and the best chance at the best prospects. Or at least have better odds than 14% or whatever it is at getting the 1st pick out of a lottery

Putting a thumb on the scale doesn’t guarantee anything, but do expect to pay $35 per pound for prime tenderloin.

Whether the nba draft is rigged or not… The nba is completely unwatchable. Non stop travelling never called, ticky tack fouls, shoot 50 3 pointers per game. Shooters kicking their legs out to try to get 3 free throws. Guys flopping all over the court. Barely any defense being played. I tried to watch a bit of the Pistons playoff series vs the Knicks. The reffing was pathetic.

To be honest I don’t like the direction the nfl is headed either. So many ticky tack calls. All about offense. All the rules are stacked against playing defense. NBA used to be a physical game. I would hate to see the NFL turn into the NBA down the road.

Whether you wanna call it rigged or not the NBA is getting exactly what they want out of all of this or they would change it. It doesn’t have to be like this. It is totally under their control.

Getting there… The O and D lines are still pretty physical. Which I enjoy. Now put on the pro bowl flag games without linemen. Now that is pure trash and I hope football never becomes that.

Flag football the next nfl experiment to make money, womens league and can create a former players league for the offseason. Untappd revenue

I’d rather watch curling than flag football! Lol

I can’t get invested in the NBA bc of this stuff. It’s the WWE.
