Rums are interesting. They’re far cheaper than a decent bourbon, and quite amazing. Diplomatico is my go-to if I’m sipping or making a Rum Old Fashioned.
Venezuelan, like the Pompero I drink. Never heard of it but we don’t have the best selections here. An interesting story is “Cedar Ridge” products. Originally started as a winery, they are now known as one of the better craft whiskey makers internationally. They took first place at the 2016 New York World Wine and Spirits competition for their single malt whiskey. They are also making a host of other spirits and after looking into it today I see they make rum. Looks like a roadtrip for me.
