Definitely not trey palmer. Great college wr who wont do much in nfl.

Could have some good battles between OGs and DTs…. with several players on that list already being discussed around here.

Surprised that they are calling Josh Whyle a FB, he’s a TE but maybe Cincinnati had him playing some lead blocker in the backfield. If so, I would consider him as a replacement for Cabinda. We save $2 million if we cut Cabinda, he is set to make $2.5 and has a $500,000 dead cap hit.

Looks like he was doing exactly that. He may be an UDFA as most teams don’t use a FB. He’s exactly the kind of guy Holmes would take, a guy who can give you play at more than one position. I would assume he’s decent at blocking from the TE position as well and the bonus is he can catch the ball from the FB position, something they experimented with a couple times last season with Cabinda.

"Kiper rated senior tight end Josh Whyle as his second-best H-Back/Fullback. ESPN colleague Matt Miller also placed Whyle second on the same list.

Dive into the tight end’s role this season and it’s easier to understand why those two are scouting him in a new position. Whyle has lined up in H-Back/Fullback blocking positions for much of the year. He’s been a big reason why the Bearcats rushing attack has popped when it has."

And he still caught 32 passes for 326 yards and 3 TD’s.

I always like watching the lines go at each other 1v1 in the practices leading up.

I want to see guys like Ivan Pace and he stacks up with SEC guys like Owen Pappoe (who is just extremely athletic) and To’oTo’o’

The running backs should be interesting. So much late round talent.

It’ll be nice to get a look at these corners too.

Saiki Ika - sheaky ala freaky .

Oline & Dline groups look solid

The rest of the position groups seem underwhelming.

Curious why you say that. Speed tends to travel and he’s got darn near world class speed.

The problem with the Senior Bowl is that you get very few “looks” at the players unless you’re a coach, which is a huge advantage.

Specifically, I want to see the OG group as many are very similar when you look at how they are graded. I want to see how they play inside but also if they can get to the 2nd level and how well they block on the move. I think that those are key traits with Ben Johnson’s playbook.

I agree the coverage has really gone down over the past few years. You’re almost better off just reading the reports of people you trust who were there. The OL vs DL drills are still fun, but they favor the DL so much they’re not really pertinent to the game. On the flip side the DB vs. WR favors the offense too much to really matter. It does give you a good idea how a guy moves in space though.

By far the biggest thing I look for is how a guy does things that he wasn’t asked to do in college a ton but will have to do as a pro.

Nick Hampton, who as you know is one of my absolute faves, has a chance to show how he can play off the ball. If it impresses he can move way up as the pass rushing skills are evident.

I have no idea why he gets so slept on by the way. Super impactful defender at App. st.

I’ve seen him rise up the boards. Yeah, the Senior Bowl is important for guys like him trying to do new things. I’ll never forget watching this safety from BYU a few years back shifting to LB and just absolutely showing out. Now he’s one of if not the best LB in the game.

App St. would use his range to cover the flats but I can’t recall seeing him in more traditional frops very often. Though I’m going mostly off game curs on Youtube so perhaps those reps just got edited out.

I don’t think hes a great route runner. A lot of his big plays were just fly routes. Yes, he’s fast but dbs in the nfl are also just as fast. He wont be able to rely on his speed as much imo.

CB-Devon Witherspoon-Best CB in the draft!

CB-Riley Moss- just a playmaker

WR- Charlie Jones
