Weird. No mention of evading tacklers and scrambling while looking downfield? Might want to follow a larger number of people on Twitter
Our quarterbacks have to have been sacked at least 10 times.
I don’t want anyone to mention Zappe here again. Zero pocket presence.
Boyle > Zappe
Not a fan of Carson Strong’ performance either.
Are you talking about the teams effort? Or the job by the coaching staff? Because I’m thinking things would look different if Campbell and glenn were calling the plays.
I’m sure they would.
Just disappointed overall with how our guys look.
Pickett, Ridder and Willis are the only QBs I’ll give a second thought to, though I doubt Pickett or Ridder are in our radar at all.
I feel like the fact that they’re not letting Willis go back in is telling.

How about 3 reads and a nice throw?

and the throw hits the WR in hands, but dropped…
they did also get a defensive penalty called, but it hurt Willis’ stat line.

Meh, it’s an all star game. We also don’t know if the coaches are putting players in certain plays and situations so they can get better evaluations in game situations. I’m not stressed about it. Anything Campbell does that’s the opposite of Patricia I’m good with.
I think I can flick rubber bands with more velocity than Zappe gets on the ball.
You’re right, just was hoping for some juice from our guys.
Sheesh.
Put Willis in
You’d probably get your wish with a better group of quarterbacks. I’m not impressed with any of them.
Well when they get sacked 10+ times they’re all going to look crappy.
That’s because you probably perfected the paper clip bow and arrow in elementary school like most of us did. Lol
That’s it.
You can see the potential IF, he can put it all together. You also see a guy that’s not gonna win out of the pocket if he doesn’t.
Right now he’s more like a rb that plays at QB. That pic above says a lot. He forced more missed tackles than KW3. You don’t do that from the pocket.
They tried to say he was looking to pass on 1 run, hard to tell. It also looked like he was looking where the D was closing on him and he was trying to figure out where to run to.
He showed a great arm, very little touch, hit and miss accuracy,. If his first read isn’t there he’s looking to take off.
He is an electric runner, he can fit the ball into tight windows if he’s accurate. Fun to watch, can make spectacular plays. He also seems like a terrific kid, easy to root for.
However, you can watch full games and see his problems reading a D. Basic stuff like just watching the S and knowing where to go, he struggles with. Footwork is poor, drifts dropping back, he has a lot of issues. Spotty accuracy. He’s a boom or bust pick in IMO.
Ridder showed better in the pocket and more accurate, with a really nice toss into layered coverage dropping in a beautiful ball with touch. Also has some wheels. Definitely more polished.
I’m just not a fan of this QB class,
Yeah Zappe is not that good.
Zappe was crappy
