What do you mean?
Oh trust me if Michigan hadn’t curb-stomped OSU in 2022 this you wouldn’t have heard a word of it.
Well….

NCAA save face?
NCAA is way beyond saving face, and I have felt this way for decades. Well, God bless you for being this optimistic.
Did you mean, I don’t think anyone argues that they didn’t cheat? Either way, it’s an untrue statement no matter your intention.
Who was the AD that left?
Or, here’s an idea that I’m sure Michigan fans haven’t actually given any thought…
Maybe…just maybe…Sherrone actually DID know something about the illegal cheating scandal?
If that is not the case you will say the suspension isn’t warranted, right?
I got excited for a minute, then I realized he never left.
Of course I will. I struggle to see why he’s being suspended if there’s no real reason for him to be suspended.

I’m struggling with that question as well. We just see the “why” differently.
I also especially wonder why he’s being suspended by his own university for something that Michigan fans have said he didn’t do?

My guess is it is either a negotiated settlement with the NCAA, or it is Warde Manuel trying to get ahead of where he sees the NCAA going. Two games for knowingly being part of Stallions efforts to in person scout opponents? Yeah, I don’t see the connection. This is the same NCAA that gave Harbaugh a 4 year show cause for buying some burgers for his already committed recruits and saying he didn’t knowingly lie when he didn’t report it. They are letting Moore off with two games?
I think it’s far more likely to be connected with deleting the text messages. He deleted the text messages before handing them all over to the NCAA. If the suspension is indeed for that, then that tells you all you need to know about this investigation and why Harbaugh doesn’t work for Manuel any more.
…I don’t want to change the subject from football, but I will say this. If you can’t get them on the actual crime, just get them on a process crime is sort of what we do in this country. If that is indeed the case with Moore, then I couldn’t care less what the NCAA thinks, and you can understand why Harbaugh and Manuel were never going to coexist any longer. Moore doesn’t have that same leverage.
@SirLion I think @HSVLion beat me too it. If you own university suspends you, pretty sure that means you did it.
The AD thing I might have been confused. I actually meant to question something to the effect of should Moore be punished like Harbaugh would have even though he was just the OC. Culpable? Of course, but the HC is ultimately responsible. More of a theoretical question I wasn’t sure which side I was on.
Example. If the QB coach or ST coach had become the HC, should he be penalized the same as if Harbaugh was there? If it’s a punishment for the school, doesn’t seem like a suspension is the correct answer since that punishes an individual.
If you own university suspends you, pretty sure that means you did it.
What did Moore do though? The answer to that question matters right?
I also especially wonder why he’s being suspended by his own university for something that Michigan fans have said he didn’t do?
He’s being suspended for deleting the text exchange with Stalions. No one disagrees that he did this.
They also recovered all the texts and found no wrong doing…so why the suspension? Doesn’t make sense unless there is a piece of information that we don’t have.
It was for interfering with an investigation
It was a level II violation and as a repeat offender got a harsher penalty
That makes sense.

This is how the NCAA will present it. Moore did delete the texts. So even though they were retrieved, handed over to the NCAA and in no way implicate him in what Stallions did, they will hit Moore with a process crime. He deleted non incriminating text messages, so he has to sit two games.
The NCAA was never able to link Jim Harbaugh or any of his coaches to this. This is exactly what Jim Harbaugh and his coaches said. Since the NCAA couldn’t link them, they are now going at the process. That’s where we are with this. Sit Moore two games, six games, who cares. It’s all nonsense at this point from an irrelevant NCAA.
