Pulled this boy yesterday
Kept me up for hours on the buzz
WOW NICE

I raided my my boxes of old rips from 20-22, yanked out enough $5 cards to fund it. Buncha Cal rookie low end, Bichette, Alonso, Tucker, Gore, Skub, Greene. I shoulda grabbed him in June…was late.
Got BWJ before the season started last year. Same price as the Cal above, but #/25 rookie auto framed…5-6x now even with a meh 2025 so far, so you are very right.
There’s a 2020 red #/25 Acuna rookie BGS 9 for $1k I am working up to getting from flipping Ohtanis.
It was never worn in a game, just practice… 18 was a nod to Randy Moss/Calvin Johnson, who both wore 81. He switched to 9 after getting approval from Stafford and when his 21 day window to return was opened.
I got those cards as well.
Former Spartan and Jordan wearing the wrong number.
Jordan had his jersey stolen out of the locker room. Had to wear a souveneir Bulls jersey from a vendor. Dont ask why they didnt have spares…
Niiiice. That Ra…
This was the card that was the poster child for what happened to the hobby when I was collecting. People were literally asking $20 back then for it. Then the bottom fell out. I remember watching people open up packs and just throw away all the cards if there wasn’t a limited insert. When I saw that, I was out.
How did I never hear that story before?
I just got back in to collecting a few months back. Its been fun, even been hitting up card shops and shows with my 11 yr old son. He’s into Pokémon cards, so it gives us something to connect over.
Also have 1200 random baseball cards coming from someones estate sale
It’s really bizarre that all of a sudden, a BUNCH of people have gotten back into the hobby within the last 6-8 months… Almost like it’s orchestrated… Gives me the “we’re in a simulation” vibe ![]()
I actually think it started with the lock downs.
