Nah some are incapable of being enlightened. and this was a very competitive team , before fans and media pound the table that our winning coach wasn’t good enough and we needed the patriot way .
Football is a business right? If you are smart you don’t play Stafford today. Best part of losing in the nfl is there is no lottery draft. We could get a top 5 draft pick this year, so lose.

Anyone know what the status of Stafford’s ankle is? How much will it limit his mobility?
can’t be too bad, he has been practicing on it in preparation for this game. If it was serious team Dr’s wouldn’t let him play.
Moreso, can he move to protect himself? He’s already has rib cartilage issues. And a thumb.
There are times, it’s up to the organization to protect its players from themselves. He’s always going to want to play. He has been told before: no. Probably should be today.
He’s getting paid 30+ annually! Besides, if you love the game you should want to play. I would question his desire if he didn’t want to play.

Stafford answered this exact question earlier this week… If he’s able to play, he feels he OWES it to the other guys in the locker room. He’s a great teammate and leader.

I see Ben isnt playing today as the Steelers already locked up their playoff spot. Wonder if the Lions were in the same position if they’d still let Stafford play, because “hur dur he’s tough and is teh QB and wants to play and plays to win!”…with half the fan base not even questioning the stupid decision. I’d also wager if the Steelers were in the same position the Lions are in today, Ben wouldnt be playing…winners know how to do the right thing; losers just keep on losing.
