This is just meant for laughs. A few jokes might be borderline political here or there. But it’s hilarious to me. And he makes fun of everyone and everthing

Tbh I think most stand up kind of sucks. Not all of course but there are so damn many hacks out there.
Oh tons of awful ones… But his dating routine kills me…
McFluury titties lol
Bet that’s what Jamo’s hat says next week.
His gambling routine is spot on too
Nate Bargatze
He is funny.
There’s not many I can watch very long, but he’s one of them. You know the person is good, when if you tried to tell the joke, it just wouldn’t work. His delivery is just freaking hilarious.
My wife watches virtually all of them. It’s one of her things. And I want to spend time with her. And it’s cheap content for Netflix. Low barrier for entry.
Ergo I’ve seen a lot of bad standup. And honestly I also often feel bad bc half of the time when I do find one to be funny, what I actually find funny is how unhinged a certain comedian might be from a substance abuse POV.
Like early Robin Williams is funny bc he’s funny. But it’s also funny bc of his heroic dosage of cocaine.
Fair. The best comedians of all time were on incredible drugs
George Carlin was the best IMO But admits to doing coke for 30 years
Or Mitch Hedberg and Chappelle.
Hilarious but clearly ■■■■■■ up
I think Raw probably shaped me more than anything else from my childhood. There was a time I could quote the whole thing.

Half Eddieeeeeeeeee
And then he said goony goo goo
Idk what you guys are talking about, there are A TON of good stand up comics
If you enjoy the format.
What do you mean? On a stage with a microphone?
Sam Kinnison and Greg Geraldo were 2 of my favorites and both were very hard into drugs. Even ones that weren’t stand up like Belushi and Farley could just make humor out of anything. I know Richard Pryor had some close calls but it seems all the greats just like to push things to the limit and thats what made them better than the rest but also their downfall.
Just saw Taylor Tomlinson on Halloween… She filmed her upcoming Netflix special here in GR in a church (a lot of her new material is based on growing up in a religious family). She was pretty funny, found her bc she was dating one of my favorite comics, Sam Morril, for a while. I’ve always enjoyed live comedy.

Ergo I’ve seen a lot of bad standup.
I would say that 95% of what’s going on stage in comedy clubs across the country on any given Saturday night is crap.
The crux of the problem is that drunks in a club will laugh at a lot of stupid shit, so there’s this huge, horrible underclass of hacks who aren’t funny, but can eat minutes on stage by saying dirty words and/or acting like a spaz.
There are definitely good comics, but just going to your local club on a random weekend is a crapshoot with very long odds.
I’ve talked about Doug Stanhope before here. He’s one of the best to have ever done it.
For you, specifically @CuriousHusker, check out Dan Cummins as an under-the-radar guy from a while ago. He’s got a smart, warped sense of humor that I think you’d appreciate.
