Stefon Diggs to the Texans

Yea for sure… I had zero interest. Don’t think anyone really did here on the den.

A reminder, despite what local media says, dead cap should never be a decision on whether to keep someone or not (unless you are in as bad a cap space as the Saints). Dead cap is what it is, your abuse of the salary cap in earlier years.

That extension was brutal. I do think the Bills got good value on the trade. I’d bet the Texans will regret trading away a 2nd for him. I get their window is now with the rookie QB contract, but I don’t think Diggs is gonna produce at the level they believe.

This is interesting. Removing years from his contract invalidates him as a Compensatory Free Agent.

Nice little trade for Diggs. Gets $22.5M this year and becomes an UFA next season.

Basically the 2nd extension, Diggs will have played two years on it getting $31.15M from the Bills for the 1yr playing on extension and $22.5M from the Texans for the 2024 season.

So it’s now a contract year for a guy who wants another payday, and already whines constantly when he doesn’t get enough looks to feed his stats.

This is going to end bad for Houston.

Or he’s the best teammate ever knowing he’s heading back to free agency  I’m sure he can fake it for 1 year.

If Diggs goes 3 series without a target he will be throwing shitt on the sidelines. There is no way he goes a full season and he ain’t blocking anyone either.
