If Detroit feels he is the best value on the board, Tuimoloau could be a Lion on Thursday night.”

But yeah, I could see the Lions using their willingness to workout as a litmus test of sorts for competitiveness. Doesn’t mean they are off the board entirely, but it could definitely be a factor they take into account and explore the reasons why more.

If the title of the thread was name one player you expect the Lions to draft JTT would be among the top 2 or 3 players on my list. By the way Charlie often is right a lot more than others in the media.
Crazy that anybody is even suggesting this. Holmes isn’t likely going to be able to pay his own guys so he’s going to trade valuable draft capital to pay a guy near Hutch money in a year? He’s not even bringing in a big money guy outside of Reed this season with the cap space they have, the last year for a long time that they’re going to have that cap space so no chance it’s happening once the cap crunch hits. There’s just no way he’s making a big splash trade, I’ll put my reputation on the line (which probably is better in my mind than in reality haha) that there’s zero chance Brad makes a big trade like that.
I think it’s a guy they haven’t been connected too for all the Sawyer hype, JTT is the guy just a better player all around and he doesn’t have T Rex arms and doesn’t whine.

That said, I DO think he bases a lot of this around the buzz he’s hearing (like Pauline), and DJ says it felt like teams were going out of their way to stay quiet about Horton specifically. Like every time he brings him up with teams he finds the response suspicious. So maybe Charlie’s not hearing any buzz because teams are going out of their way to remain secretive about him? Just a hunch, but I’d be stunned if he lasted that long. I’d be really surprised if he made it out of day 2. But Charlie’s been accurate of late at least in the 1st so you certainly can’t dismiss it.
Sewell’s 3 year old son might slip to 28. Now he’s only 3, and his arm length is a little short. But he’s got a full beard and beat Chuck Norris in a karate match just last week. Chuck is now on more morphine than @Bols
I just think there’s no chance of it ever happening, trading for Hendrickson. To me, surprises are things that at least have a remote chance of happening. Things could change depending on competitive windows and such but Holmes is fairly predictable with his approach when it comes to team building so a splashy trade would shock the hell out of me.
