I think you could get Sirota. They have to play Tucker when hems healthy and Ohtani at DH. They love Pages who might be the best defensive CFer in the league. Keeping DePaula and Quintero spaces things out. Sirota as the centerpiece makes a ton of sense IMO.

Jim Bowden and Jim Duquette said the same thing last week on Sirius. The Dodgers want to be remembered as one of the best teams of all time. If that is true, then you get Skubal.
I would add, not sure it has been said regarding the Dodgers and the upcoming CBA. You have no idea what it will look like after this season from a spending ability as many of the current owners are not fans of what the Dodgers are doing with their built in advantages, 9figure tv deal that they get all of the revenue from.

We are wanting players that are close to ready so the braves offer with 3 guys the top option of the 3 not ETA until 2029 the dodgers offer is light same with Brewers the rays is another the top prospect being not ETA until 2029

Those weren’t offers, they were mocks. Me saying Skubal straight up for Ohtani carries just as much weight as those four mocks.

I am not a baseball expert. But I would hope, in this environment, someone has to OVERpay for Skubal.
Of course, if he’s not going to sign with us anyway, a bag of chips is preferable to nothing. However, if there are really 5+ teams in on it, even a decent negotiator should be able to get a ton back. Forget ‘fair.’ You want him? What’s the best you’ll offer?
