Dan was really at almost a 50/50 on this one which makes me think if the D was healthy
He would not have gone for it.
It isn’t “every single time”… watch more than one game, please.
Other coaches are starting to coach like DC. 20 years from now we will be able to look at how his coaching style impacted the entire game
I don’t think he needs to listen to Tedy Bruschi
I am old enough to understand that you have to be who you are, regardless of the results. I also believe Dan’s faith in his offense profoundly influences the players–they feed off of it and reach heights they would otherwise not achieve just because of his belief in them. Trying to change one’s approach to the game at this point in the season would only sow doubt and confusion among the players. MCDC is probably going to be the Coach of the Year, so the results speak for themselves.
If the Lions win the Super Bowl, let’s see what Bruschi thinks of Dan’s coaching then.
“You talk about pressure? We live in pressure. That’s where we freakin’ thrive.”
– Dan Campbell
ESPN and all the pundits do it for clicks and views. Have to create discussion and ‘controversy’ somehow, even when there is none. Non-story. If Teddy was so brilliant, he would be coaching. If he didn’t want the long hours involved, he could consult or be an advisor for his home town team. ESPN is his master now and they have ‘production’ meetings to see how they can create discussion and debate to draw viewers.
He should stick to breaking down linebacker film.
Coach Dan is the GOAT
I agree on Teddy for sure. I love me some Coach Dan and he is the GOAT to me for the Lions!! But of all time, across all coaches in the NFL? Forgive me BigNatty, but we might need a larger sample size there.
Nah, screw that noise. Leaving my Blue Kool-Aid glasses on and he is the GOAT!!!
Ha haaaa! Larger sample size…INCOMING!!!
I’ll accept the well deserved ridicule. Bring it!!
I wonder what sexy rexy was about to say as the video cut out
I’ll take 4 out of 5.
You have the most dominant center and right side of the Oline in football.
And, you have Knuckles.
Really, the best skill group in the NFL, overall.
Football is an aggressive sport.
You can find it on YouTube. Rex completely disagrees with Tedy.
It was something about a bag of dicks that Theddy should be eating.
Overall Bruschi is being a moron, he’s only seeing the negative outcomes and not weighing them against the positives and looking at the fact that netting them all out we’re comfortably in the black.
He did make one interesting point though, when he says that sometimes if you’re the better team you need to stand back and let your opponent beat themselves. With how badly our defense was banged up, and how easily Green Bay was moving the ball, Thursday was not the game for that. But I think that sentiment does hold true sometimes.
So 99% moron, 1% valuable input.
Change the down and give us an 80% success rate on third and we are considered elite.
Now I know that if we don’t convert there is no other chances but an 80% completion percentage in ANY sport is considered elite!
“Hey Dan. Wassup? Look… I know you’ve done some great things. Only coach ever to have back to back winning seasons with the worst franchise in the league. Doubled the payoff wins in one season compared to the last 55 years. I know you’re 12-1, top O and top scoring D…
Well, you should change now.”
