He brought us a title. I’ll watch highlights from 2004 and forget all about the mob stuff.
We might as well put all of those remaining Underground Railroad passages in Michigan back to use. In fact, there is an 1840s house not far from me that still has one.
These guys just aren’t that smart. Also, they are rich, privileged, kowtowed to, never said no to since age 10 in a lot of cases and generally The Rules dont apply to them in mindset.
The OpSec bar to get awy with Anything now is so high….Block chain is traceable, stingrays, drones, Flock, DNA, 5 Eyes/NSA, Ring cameras up and down every block, surveillance state is Massive massive. That’s just what we know about, which for damn sure isn’t half of it
Just wait a bit longer for AI/Robotics/drones/Palantir all get enough money and compute to be able to adequately sift in real-time all this data fusion and have feet on the street enough to follow up. Massive drop in crime, I hope.
I would definitely be careful if I’m Chauncey. Big money poker players don’t like being cheated and I don’t think they will mind evening the score and then some. Chauncey is going to need his head on a swivel for a long, long time. .
HOWEVER people in positions of government allowed to legally do the same thing with stocks should be illegal as hell as well because they are doing the exact same thing.
He was fearless in that series, going right at Shaq in the paint and putting his body on the line for the team. I wish this reel showed more of him on defense because he was a scrappy dude who made you earn those points against him. What’s a little mafia-controlled rigged poker between friends?
I was in the stands for every single one of those home games. Maaaannn, ■■■■ Larry Brow for leaving…we got much softer the second Flip Saunders took over.
Billups is my second fav Piston of all time.
Isiah Thomas
Billups - Love how this guy played far above where his physical talent said he ought to. Always thought he was a great dude, and HATE seeing him get into trouble.
I definitely miss the days of having an actual point guard who orchestrated the offense, distributed the ball, and could also take over a game with his shooting when needed. Billups and Hamilton had such great rhythm on offense and I can still see Hamilton coming off a baseline curl losing his trailing defender and BIllups hits him with that perfect pass so Hamilton can drain one of his classic pull up shots.
