The Data sure points to SHEP… not Brad, Dan, or especially Goff

It certainly plays into the overall numbers and how the game flow has played out. Not all points are created equal.

  • The Packers scored 27 in the season opener against us. They had a 36 yard TD drive and a 7 yard field goal drive. That’s on the offense.
  • The Vikings scored 27 on us at Ford Field. They had a 35 yard TD drive as well as a 36 yard TD drive. One of them was due to special teams giving up a huge return, the other was on the offense (fumble).

In some of the games the offense hasn’t given the ball up on a short field. But when they are constantly going 3 and out, it doesn’t give the defense enough time to rest and make adjustments. It reminds me of our 2014 defense (that was good) vs our 2013 defense (that was better than the stats showed). The 2013 defense was way better than people realized. A big part of why the 2014 version was able to excel was because we were better on offense and didn’t turn it over as much.

Well we are still possessing the ball on game average more than our opponent, our TOP is over 30 mins still this year so I don’t buy this argument that the defense is gassed because the offense can’t stay on the field.
The defense has given up a score on the opponents opening drive of the game way too often this year.
The short field in the Minny game I acknowledge was bad, but as you said one was on the ST which was horrible that whole game

Brad went into the season with Hutch, the peanut butter brittle man twins in Davenpoort and Paschal, and “Bob” Muhammed, oh and a 6th rd, unproven, project rookie who’s also apparently a peanut butter brittle man…and thought to himself, “we’re good”…I cant believe it’s not working out, nobody coulda saw it not working out.

Game on we got a tight end Detroit Lions claim TE Hayden Rucci off waivers, add WR to practice squad | Pride Of Detroit Detroit Lions claim TE Hayden Rucci off waivers, add WR to practice squad | Pride Of Detroit

Better question might be how many teams are so bad at the position that they have a NT playing at #2 DE.

And didn’t Dallas just trade away Parsons ?

McNeil is a pro bowler coming off an injury. We literally spent our first round pick on a DT.

Who???

Literally traded for Z last year. But he didn’t work out like most the trades you mentioned in your post.

This proves you’re talking out of your ass. AQM has 6 sacks and is 25th in a league THAT HAS 64 STARTING DEs. But hey Brad should’ve offered a 6th rounder for Miles Garrett. What an idiot he is.

So your proposing the Lions should’ve given 2 first rounders and paid Parsons $47 million? If they did that then everyone on here could bitch about why Brad couldn’t keep all of our FAs and why we are weak at CB, OL, RB, etc. Of course any player is available at ridiculous prices. Watch what happens to GB in a couple more years.

Is it??

It’s the Minny game. We blew the Minny game.

if not for that everyone is looking at 8-4 and saying that given the schedule that is within the range of acceptable and probably expected outcomes.

Dude I didn’t say that you said it don’t happen , and I showed it did, now it’s yeah but . You are so full of bull, you move the goal post as you go. There been plenty of reasonable deals out there , people here have talked about them.

And signing Parsons sure flipped the switch for the pack, as they just sweep Brad Holmes Lions. And they were able to shake up Jared Goff and win the games.

It’s so funny reading what some of these guys post now. When we played the Pack week 1 everyone was saying how they paid so much for Parson to get a marginal performance that game.

Now that he and Gary are wreaking havoc on teams everyone is silent as a mouse. The reason the Packers are ahead of us in the standings is because of Parsons. The reason Goff was on his ass a couple times last game is directly because of Parsons.

The guy is a game changer and the Packers DC is using him the right way

Packers had 4 losses at this time last year, so are they better or we are just worse?

Both

My eyeballs tell me we have no pass rush and injuries all over the secondary. The talent on the D-line is so bad they got Hutch out there playing 90% of the defensive snaps. Miles Garrett only plays 79% of the Defensive snaps in Cleveland. Which is 2nd league wide behind Hutch. I don’t know if Shep is going to turnout to be a good DC or not. I’m not going to put the blame solely on him when he doesn’t have the talent needed to have a good defense. There is only 1 guy to blame for this and that is Brad Holmes!

This is easily the most talented team we’ve had and 90% of the people blamed AG for our defensive woes. Not sure why Shep gets a pass now when he has more talent.

I posted this yesterday… hours later Shep took the blame and committed to dramatically “changing up the scheme to get pressure?”

so I feel like that jives with what we are seeing?

Jack Campbell is playing pro bowl football

Hutch is a top 5 edge

Mac is a very good interior rush DT

Reader is a solid NT with depth behind him

AQM had 3 sacks last year in limited snaps, and 7 this year in less than 600 total snaps between both years

Branch is an elite safety

Reed is a top 20 or better CB

Robertson is a solid

Anzalone is solid

That’s 9 guys who are solid to elite…and AQM who had production but isn’t getting many reps.

I feel like we should try either Barnes or AA. It not both… throw in a DB Maddox? Maulet and Whiteside were pretty good vs Tampa
