I’m going Zion Young, because I think he’s the exact kind of DE the Lions want across from Hutch and I honestly don’t think Blake Miller is good enough.
I would like Young too tbh, but this is a tougher cookie for me to crack rn at this pick
Miller i do like, Young is good too, i like Lomu, and Ponds fits us like a glove.
Yeah, there’s a lot of different ways to go here. OT and DE both feel the same to me. Wonnum/Borom being the same level guy on either side on a one year deal. I’m just not super high on Miller and want to offer an alternative to what a lot of people might thing is the ‘chalk’ pick here.
I voted for Emmanuel McNeil-Warren. The more I’ve learned about him the more I think he fits this team. He can wear many hats on the back end of the defense and play near the line of scrimmage. OT and pass rusher are obviously big concerns. I think there’s a chance a few good tackle prospects fall to round 2 and I think with DJ Wonnum signed they can (for now) afford to platoon him with a designated pass rusher drafted in the 4th round
Well I see Fano and Ioane as the 2 best players on the list. In fact 2 of the best players in the entire draft. Fano would offer some versatility but Ioane gets penciled in at LG and you never look back. My vote is for the monster LG from Penn St.
I think Fano and Ioane are both slam dunk picks here. I just go with Ioane because long term Fano could very well end up at LG or C. With Ioane there is no learning a new position. You start him at LG and he likely starts every game for the next 10 years
I lean to Fano, because in a pinch, he could play T, even with his arms. He seems to always be in the middle of his block, his feet seem to makeup for his arms. The guy moves in space better than anyone in this class. I put him at RT - let him show you he can’t do it (I think he can). Penei will not let his brother fail. Two massive Pacific Islander bookends, whats not to like?
